The air was still around the base with a soft crispness to it that wasn’t the harsh bite the winter had brought in a few months ago, instead it kept the temperature from seeping in through the clothes and made it nearly impossible to want to come outside. Knowlen had never been a fan of the colder months the Harvest Base spat out, so on nights like these he was grateful to be given the advantage to come out of his RV like a hermit shut-in. Even still, the tall husky sniper was wrapped up tight in his thick jeans, thick blue plaid flannel, calf high boots and a light jacket; of course that was with his fire pit roaring near his feet being propped up in a chair. Lounged back in one of his old white lawn chairs Knox looked completely comfortable with his mini-cooler at his side full of beer, and his body kicked back fire side.
Thanks to the roaring flames the man’s already reddish tinted brown hair glowed with even deeper shades of autumn that made the gold hues he sported shimmer even brighter like liquid pools of amber. At the moment his attention was either on the fire beside him or the tips of his boots as he held a phone pressed to his ear; the look on his face was a tender shade of warmth as he laughed lowly at whatever was being said on the other side. With the husky graveled voice he had Knox’s laughter and low words could be heard at a decent radius around him, though the chances that anyone would be able to hear exactly what he was saying from a distance was slim. It wasn’t until any onlookers got closer, could they make him out. “Hah,....yeah, yeah....I know that but-....hey, he knew what he was signin’ up for when he joined.” The warmth in his face and tone showing that whatever the conversation was, it was a lighter one between at least friends. “Hey! He joined before I did, so don’t give me that....Oi! It’s not like I’m leavin’im ta bleed ta death,....Hah, well he deserved it. Not my fault he picked tha wrong side ta be on...” Again his laughter bellowed out in a deep rumble of amusement at whatever the other person said, chuckling loud enough the growl in his voice could be heard rattling in his chest. “Yeah, okay, sure. Hah, yeah yeah. Give tha girls kisses for me. Yeah I will. Night Sis.”
