With a small tug the denim slipped down his thighs where he could step out of them, leaving him completely naked for the sexy redhead who had stolen his heart. Leaning in again one arm came to rest easily above her head as his other hand slipped between them, giving the front of her shirt a teasingly soft tug with his wolfish gaze locked completely on her sweet warm brown pair. Immediately Knowlen’s warm amber eyes slipped over the beautiful women in front of him with a wolfish smirk, as thick fingers began to work open the buttons of his grey and blue plaid flannel. A low amused growl rumbling thickly from deep in his chest as he gave the love of his life what she had asked for, not for a moment taking his hungry gaze off of her as he slowly began to strip. With a swift tug his shirt was removed to expose his tanned, toned chest underneath, before moving to kick off his boots and socks; a knowingly smug look swimming the honey pools of his eyes as moved forward to box his little hunter in. Both strong bow warn arms leaning against the wall on either side of her as Knox leaned in until their noses could almost brush; giving his lady love another graveled growl of enjoyment as his smirk showed a shimmer of his teeth. “Anythin’ else, love?”

Johanna was in the middle of a peel of laughter when Harriet nudged her and pointed towards the door of the bar. The snipers tall frame was easy to spot over the crowd even in the hunters less than steady state.

Both women slid out of their chairs as he approached. It clear which sister had indulged more as Johannas hand rested on the table to help balance herself as she beamed up at him. “There he is. Always good timing.” She stepped foreword, tucking herself against him. “We already… we already paid up so you wouldn’t have to wait for us when you came t’get us.”

Keeping his eyes on the road Knowlen bit back the argument he felt bubbling in the back of his throat, as the imagine in his head of how those holidays would go were far from bloodless; regardless of the fact that Knox himself wouldn’t be able to stand having a spy anywhere near his family, he knew that his father would shoot Claude on the spot the moment he found out. It would be a cold day in hell before Matthew Henry Bridden would let a spy into his home. “Ya would feel tha same if ya knew tha thin’s I did ‘bout’im.” Knowlen shot back in a low growl that was more a mumbled breath than a real statement to either woman, as he knew that picking a fight with either of the drunk sheila’s wouldn’t work out well for him; especially when he was going home with one of them. His confusion only growing deeper as Johanna poorly began to explain herself as she sweetly nestled against his hand, doing a fine job of steering the conversation away from the spy he hated to names of people he had never met. “Wait…who’s Lawrence?” His heavy brows furrowing hard over his eyes as either lady beside him could seeing him trying to connect the dots of the conversation, and how this Lawrence and Larry were somehow tied in with Johanna protecting her sisters from them. “Who tha hell’s Larry? Take a few steps back, love. I’m lost. Who are these blokes an’ why are ya gunna stab’em?”

Harriet didn’t expect she and Claude would ever end up around Knowlen and Diannas family for any reason, even holidays, but she knew there would be times the two men would end up near each other for trips back to the sisters home, and it wouldn’t be good to have the two of them going at each other. If they fought, if neither of them killed each other, she knew their mother would kill both of them for raising such a fuss.

“Larry is Lawrence. And ‘m not gonna stab him unless he breaks her heart or somethin’.” Johanna answered with a laugh. “Oh yeah, you don’t know him, do ya. He was- he was there, when I started work. Old friend of mine. He’s a sniper too, but he’s red.” The Red had been one of the first teammates she had met and befriended after she had signed her contract with Mann, and the first Sniper she’d encountered, earning that particular one the moniker of “Snipes” “Say, did Di and him ever put a name to what they are and if they were dating?” Harriet asked. “I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to her in a while to ask.”

It was obviously by the look on Knowlen’s face that the wheels were turning hard in his head as he tried to keep up; feeling even more confused than before as he questioned whether or not Harriet was dating Claude or this Lawrence guy. Of course if anyone were to ask his opinion he would put his money on this red sniper rather than any spy. It was only when Harriet chimed in that the final puzzle pieces came together, causing the whole truck to come to an abrupt stop as the weight of her words settled on him. Naturally the arm that had been around Johanna’s shoulder instinctively came around to shoot out across both women beside him, keeping them safe just in case their seatbelts weren’t enough; though it did nothing to save them from the hard stare that snapped their way. “Who tha fuck is Anna dating?!” The last two words spoken through the sharps of his teeth as his golden gaze flickered between the two of them, filling his voice with a husky growl that shook in the depths of his chest with an angry vibration.

Ominously the steps to the snipers camper groaned in protest under the heavy weight of the blu sniper who came up them, before there came an equally heavy thud of a knock against his door; Knowlen waiting to threateningly fill his doorway with his thick frame the moment he answered, as his narrowed amber eyes stayed honed in on the flimsy door between them. Practically seething with annoyance you could feel like a heavy fog in the air, as it took every ounce of him not to just kick his way inside.

Lawrence was aware someone was at his door before he even looked through the screen of his campers inner door. The outer door wide open to let in some fresh air into the space. The way the pull down steps creaked and the way the camper light shook from the weight of heavy steps on them he would have had to be in a dead sleep to not notice the approaching visitor.

A pang of either dread or annoyance- or perhaps a mix of both, struck him as he stood up from the little booth around his small table and he recognized the semi familiar figure of the other sniper through the mesh. He’d never really spoken to the other sniper. In fact he’d only really ever seen him through his scope on the field. But he knew well who was storming up to his door, and why.

Shit.

Well, this was bound to happen eventually. He supposed he couldn’t avoid meeting her brother forever. Even if he preferred it be somewhere out in the open so there might be less of a chance of the larger sniper trying to kill him.

He went up to his door, pulling it open to regard the other sniper. He wasn’t going to hide behind a flismy screen door. “Hello?”

Through the mesh screening of the other snipers front door, Knox strained to find the outline of the man he was potentially going to fashion into a pinata; his honey eyes following the vague shape with clear murderous intent as he waited for him to answer. The moment he did the blu wasted no time taking two firmly planted steps inside, forcing the shorter gunmen to back up or else be shoved back by the others broader built chest. His head needing to duck slightly as he did to clear the doorway with his towering height, though he never once took his narrowed gold eyes off his target. “I hear yer datin’ my sista.” He rumbled lowly with a threatening growl gripping the edges of his words, that matched the glowing rage swimming in his liquid amber eyes; not leaving any room to doubt how much he didn’t agree with what was going on.

Lawrence didn’t say anything as he had to take a few small steps back as the slightly taller sniper barged his way inside. His own blue eyes meeting gold with an unafraid, if a bit annoyed look in them. He was expecting there would be some sort of confrontation once the bowman realized what had been going on.

“So you’re Knox, then, eh? I reckon you’ve heard right.” Was all he replied before he broke their staring contest to open his fridge, reaching in to pull out a dark amber bottle. “Beer?” As much as it might’ve pissed him off the other was here to no doubt try to threaten him away from Dianna, for her sake he knew he should at least try to be polite until he was given an excuse not to be.

The fact that Lawrence didn’t immediately do anything to instigate the taller snipers anger further was a point in his favor, as Knowlen was forced to just glare death down at him as his paler blue eyes met his golden stare. That same amber gaze following the others movements like a wolf watching it’s dinner, as the red turned to his fridge after a moment to grab a bottle from inside. Surprising the sunset tinted shooter enough to break the vice grip his eyes had on him, by offering him a beer as if there was a seething animal on his door step. It took a moment for Knox to say anything, but with a flicker of his eyes toward the bottle he finally gave a nod. “Yeah. O’lright.” His voice was low and heavy with his desire to be angry over being the last to know about his sister relationship, but he couldn’t help but be naturally comfortable in another snipers presence; especially when it was someone from back home. Taking upon himself to make himself at home, Knowlen lumbered to the booth that the red had emerged from to take a seat. His hefty weight causing the material under him to groan softly as he slid in, placing his back to the wall to allow himself to sit long ways to leave room for his long legs; all the while letting him keep his wolfish gaze on the man who apparently was seeing his sister.

Johanna smiled as he pressed a kiss into her hair, and shifted under his arm to crane her face up and press a kiss of her own to the side of his jaw. Only vaguely aware of how tense her love seems to be, but it’s just enough to have her hand toying with the one of the arm draped over her, soothing her thumb over the back of his hand unconsciously. “Good. Cause ‘s just you I want.”

“Goodness… y’know, I don’t think we’ve really got a proper anniversary but… two, three years now?” Harriet replied, a little more aware of the obvious tension and anger seeping from the Sniper. “I moved in with him probably a only a few months after ‘Hanna pretty much ran off to live in your van with you.” She said with a small, soft laugh. “I… I know you and him have some bad history. But he’s a good man, under the reputations he has. I hope eventually you two can learn to get along, if only for her and I’s sake.” “Oh, him?” Johanna said, her attention finally catching on to the conversation at hand. “He’s… eh.” She said, waving a hand in her lap. “But we have an understanding.”

“Like, Claude and you, Snipes and Anna. They both know I’d kill em if they hurt m’sister.”

Knowlen couldn’t stop the way his teeth ground against one another with an almost audible bite, as the jaw Johanna sweetly kissed clenched irritably as her sister answered his question. Just the thought of that disgusting excuse of a human-being being able to lie for so long about himself to her, made every inch of the sniper twitch with the desire to unburden a lot of rage into the spies face. In his eyes Harriet had no idea who Claude really was regardless of how long they had been together, and it showed in the low heavy snort he gave that rumbled low in his chest with disapproval when she talked about him being a good man. The thick fingers gripping the steering wheel flexing again with a hard enough squeeze that the material whined softly, before Knox could bring himself to give his sister-in-law a side eyed glance that was filled with everything he wasn’t say. “A good man?” He repeated with doubt dripping on every word that rattled between his teeth, as the sniper gave a shake of his head in disbelief as he struggled with his words; making it more than obvious that he was restraining the urge to unleash everything he loathed about the man right here and now.

Luckily for the moment his attention was diverted as his drunk love began to speak again, causing his lips to twitch with a half-hearted laugh as Johanna appeared to not care for the man much herself; only further proving to him that she was absolutely the one for him. However as she went on his thick brows twitched with confusion at the nickname of Snipes was used, as he wasn’t exactly sure why she would be calling him that or why she would think he would hurt her sister. “Snipes, love? Why would I hurt’er?” He questioned with a brush of her hair back behind her ear with the hand hanging off her shoulder, using more tenderness than anyone would think he would be capable of when he was obviously simmering with rage; making it clear that regardless of how angry he got, he would never do anything to hurt the woman wrapped so sweetly in his arm. It was a promise he had made himself a long time ago that he would never hurt the woman he loved; there were many ways he had always tried to be like his father, but that was one thing he vowed to never mirror.

It didn’t bother Knowlen in the slightest when his lady love had called him to come fetch her and his hopefully soon-to-be sister-in-law, from their bonding night out together; though he assumed by less than coherent text that she might a bit more pissed than he guessed she would be. His warm honey eyes immediately finding the top of her beautiful red hair through the crowd, giving him a direction to head to as the pair of them seemed to spot him soon after. Instantly his smile deepened in amusement as he noticed the way Johanna had to use the bar to keep herself steady as she came off her seat, unable to help but chuckle to himself as he gladly welcomed her against him as she used him to stay up right. “That’s good thinkin’, love. ‘Course ya know I’d wait for ya any day.” He mused with a tender kiss to the top of her head as he gave her sister a laughing glance as he did, curious to see if Harriet was just as tipsy as her sister. “Did ya girls have a good time?” He questioned sweetly as he kept a snug arm around her to help Johanna walk their way to the door, being mindful of Harriet too just in case she needed any help too.

He was strong and warm and it only drew her closer against him with an affectionate brush of her cheek against his chest. “A lot of fun.” She replied happily. Much more steady on her feet with his arm so snugly around her and leaning contently against him.

“Especially one of us.” Harriet laughed. Her own cheeks rosey from drink and clearly a bit tipsy herself, but not so unsteady as her sister. “It’s been so good to catch up, feels like we’ve both been so busy because of you boys lately.”

Johanna kept herself tucked under his arm as they let him take the lead outside the bar and to his truck, letting him help her inside into the middle as Harriet climbed into the other side. “Y’know, you need to give me some sort of,” she said, tapping at her hand as the word she was looking for escaped her. “Y’know. So not so many guys annoy me.”

A soft smile pulled at the snipers lips as he felt his lady love brush her cheek softly against his cheek with her reply; not minding for a moment whether or not he would have had to carry her out of here, not when she sounded so happy with the time she had spent with her sister. His thick brows twitching in confusion as he held the door open for Harriet to climb in as well, as she made the comment that “you boys” had been keeping them so busy. “Us boys? You got a beau, Harry?” He asked curiously with a soft snap of the door closing behind her before he came around to slide into the driver seat; his amber eyes following the motion of Johanna’s finger as she tapped at her hand, insisting that he needed to give her something to keep the guys from bothering her. In a second his gaze flickered between his love and her sister with a low laugh as he realized what she was saying, before he started the truck with a deep smile laughing across his face. “I need ta, huh?” He mused as he stretched an arm loving over hunters shoulders to keep her secure against him, feeling like his heart could just explode from his chest with the love that swelled inside him for the beautiful red-head beside him. “I guess I’ll just have ta.” His words murmured teasingly against the top of her head as he gave her another loving kiss as the truck began to pull away; absolutely eating up how much the women in his arms wanted to marry him as much as he wanted to marry her.

“Oh yes, We’ve been together for some time now. I even moved into his quarters a while ago.” Harriet replied as she clicked her seat belt into place. “I uh, I believe you know him, but you won’t like knowing who it is.” she said, casting the sniper a slightly more sober glance from the corner of her eye. She didn’t know the details, but she knew there was a fair amount of bad blood between her lover and her soon to be brother in law. “…You know Claude, the spy, yeah?”

“Yes! You need to.” Johanna said with a serious nod. Or, as serious of one someone less than sober can give. “Cause if they see that, then I won’t have'tell as many to shoo. It gets annoyin’ sometimes. Like, yes, I want a drink, but I don’t want it from you. I want it from my guy.” She said, leaning back comfortably under the protective arm draped against her. Content in the presence of two of the most important people in her life as they began the drive back to home.

The was obvious surprise on the snipers face as his future sister-in-law explained that she had been seeing this guy long enough to have moved in with him; causing him to give Johanna a small squeeze as he thought about how she mostly moved into his camper with how often she stayed over. He didn’t know Harriet very well but he was glad to hear that she was in love and as happy as he and her sister was, though that train of thought immediately came to a stop as she warned him that he wouldn’t like knowing who it was. That fact being made abruptly clear by the immediate look of rage that flared behind his amber eyes, as his upper lip curled just slightly with the desire to growl around the clench of his teeth. Every instinct inside of him howling to explain in vivid detail every reason that the spy she was shacked up with, was nothing more than a two-faced, slithering monster who had traumatized his sister; his thoughts instantly flashing back to the day he had, had the pleasure of turning the man’s face into ground beef with his knife. Claude was the living embodiment of everything their father had raised them to hate.

For a moment the words were swallowed roughly back down his throat as Johanna continued on unaware of the tension now radiating from the sniper she clung too; Knox being more than grateful for the needed moment to keep himself from putting his foot in his mouth, and possibly pissing off her sister. “I’m sorry, beautiful. I’ll make sure ta get a ring on yer finga tha first chance I get. I don’t want ya ta be annoyed by blokes anymore.” He promised lowly with another soft kiss to the top of her head again, though this time breathing her scent in heavily as he used it to help calm himself down the best he could; doing his best to stay light like he had been just a minute ago with her. The hand on the steering wheel though giving him away as his fingers clenched tight as his thoughts continued to bring up the rage that was just barely contained inside him. “...how long of ya two been seenin’ each other?” He asked lowly after a long moment of silence as he did his best to pick the words he said carefully, as he restrained himself from speaking what was on his mind.

Giving Harriet knowing glance as he held the door open for her so she could pass in front of them, while Knox kept a good grip on Johanna to keep her safe against him. “Seem’s like it. Glad ya both had fun though.” His voice as warm as the gold in his gaze as he sweetly walked the love of his life to his truck waiting for them outside; being mindful to watch her head as he slid the hunter across the single rowed seat, where she would be able to lean against him or her sister as he drove them back. His thick brows twitching in confusion as he held the door open for Harriet to climb in as well, as she made the comment that “you boys” had been keeping them so busy. “Us boys? You got a beau, Harry?” He asked curiously with a soft snap of the door closing behind her before he came around to slide into the driver seat; his amber eyes following the motion of Johanna’s finger as she tapped at her hand, insisting that he needed to give her something to keep the guys from bothering her. In a second his gaze flickered between his love and her sister with a low laugh as he realized what she was saying, before he started the truck with a deep smile laughing across his face. “I need ta, huh?” He mused as he stretched an arm loving over hunters shoulders to keep her secure against him, feeling like his heart could just explode from his chest with the love that swelled inside him for the beautiful red-head beside him. “I guess I’ll just have ta.” His words murmured teasingly against the top of her head as he gave her another loving kiss as the truck began to pull away; absolutely eating up how much the women in his arms wanted to marry him as much as he wanted to marry her.

Johanna was in the middle of a peel of laughter when Harriet nudged her and pointed towards the door of the bar. The snipers tall frame was easy to spot over the crowd even in the hunters less than steady state.

Both women slid out of their chairs as he approached. It clear which sister had indulged more as Johannas hand rested on the table to help balance herself as she beamed up at him. “There he is. Always good timing.” She stepped foreword, tucking herself against him. “We already… we already paid up so you wouldn’t have to wait for us when you came t’get us.”

It didn’t bother Knowlen in the slightest when his lady love had called him to come fetch her and his hopefully soon-to-be sister-in-law, from their bonding night out together; though he assumed by less than coherent text that she might a bit more pissed than he guessed she would be. His warm honey eyes immediately finding the top of her beautiful red hair through the crowd, giving him a direction to head to as the pair of them seemed to spot him soon after. Instantly his smile deepened in amusement as he noticed the way Johanna had to use the bar to keep herself steady as she came off her seat, unable to help but chuckle to himself as he gladly welcomed her against him as she used him to stay up right. “That’s good thinkin’, love. ‘Course ya know I’d wait for ya any day.” He mused with a tender kiss to the top of her head as he gave her sister a laughing glance as he did, curious to see if Harriet was just as tipsy as her sister. “Did ya girls have a good time?” He questioned sweetly as he kept a snug arm around her to help Johanna walk their way to the door, being mindful of Harriet too just in case she needed any help too.

The morning sun had just started to kiss the base grounds with a warm copper glow that stretched out like long fingers, gliding over the graveled earth and disappearing into the thick of the trees. The scent of fall was starting to settle across the woodlands, even though the heat of the summer was fighting hard to linger until it’s last dying breath; for now at least keeping the temperatures relatively comfortable until the sun had a chance to really climb higher into the sky. In front of one particular RV parked ass to face with his sisters near the back of the clearing before the base, stood the autumn tinted sniper with a basket of freshly washed clothes and a mostly empty clothes line. Still sporting his morning clothes of sweat pants and a white tank top, the tall bulky built blu found his gaze curiously skipping over to a new home that had moved in over night. Not being the typical RV Knowlen wasn’t completely certain if it was another sniper moving in, or if there happened to be someone else who preferred living outside of the base like most of them did; quietly keeping his gaze on the outside of the home as he took in what he could to discover who was inside.

Emma was trying to sleep in. The company had had her moved out on a saturday….no fight match today. At least, hopefully not. But the rays of sun entering her egress window were starting to hit her in the face, and heat her loft up to the point where she was getting uncomfortable….and dehydrated. She slowly pushed herself off the mattress and groaned when she looked at the time on her phone. Why did it only have to be eight in the morning??? She could sleep for hours more if only she had shades on her windows…. Em crawled out of the loft regretfully, and yawned on her way down the small staircase and into the little kitchen. She got herself a cup and turned on the sink….but no water came out. “Oh…yeah.” She mumbled to herself. “ M’not hooked up to water yet.” She closed her eyes and dipped her head, and sighed. She was so tired from driving down here the night before. She had only had time to check in with Pauling on the phone, letting her know she was at the correct base. Throwing on a pair of trusty old boots, she stepped out the front door and onto the wooden set of hand-built stairs that led up to the entrance. She was both surprised and not surprised to see a few mercs already up and about, drinking coffee, cleaning guns, and apparently washing clothes. She scuffed her boots into the gravel blearily and yawned again, squinting her eyes to the sunlight, even though she was on the shaded side of her tiny house at the moment. When her eyes adjusted, she peered around at the base and the surrounding woods, then flicked her eyes curiously to the mercs that were outside, neighboring her house. Only one she really recognized was the tall tanned one hanging his laundry on the line. She knew he was a sniper, and had spoken to him a few times, the last time she had been transferred here…but that was about it.

Em tramped over the noisy gravel towards he and his….sister was she? And called out to the both of them. “Heya, uhh…..where is the water and power hookup?” She momentarily took in just how many campers were already in the area, and added: “Is there room for one more? Or is there a near-empty hookup somewhere else around here?”

For the most part the morning was quiet with the exception of Knox’s radio softly playing from inside his camper through the open windows and door, while he took his time sorting out his laundry as his younger sister sat curled up on one of her old lawn chairs; reminding him of a grouchy potato with the way she had herself tucked into her hoodie sipping her coffee. Hearing the door open to the new home a few yards away, the snipers crisp amber eyes immediately jumped over to the women who stepped out looking as tired as his sister; though far less annoyed by it. Instantly Knowlen recognized her from the few times she had temped on their base before, turning his lips up into a small but warm smile at the familiar face. Silently his autumn gaze followed her curiously as he kept his hands busy pinning up his clothes to dry, having always preferred to hang them up over using a drier if he could help it. There was just something relaxing about having a calm morning of small chores while his breakfast simmered on the stove; the smell of sausage, and potatoes occasionally catching in the air when the wind was right. Greeting Em as she approached the pair of Bridden’s who were more or less spending the morning together, even though his sister sat a few yards away from him. “Yeah, there’s plenty of room. There’s a hook up just next ta ‘Gene’s campa ova there.” Pointing toward the old fashion silver RV that looked as if it had stepped out of the pages from the seventies, that was parked closest to the bases entrance; especially compared to the new styles the rest of them lived in. “Need a hand with it?”
