Ran with Rene today, seems like it’s been forever. He didn’t go over with a plan, he just ran about as long as I did (but faster, as he’s not working off as much of an injury deficit as me).
A small crisis was averted but some of the awesome folks at my company. I had packed my running clothes last Thursday (the last day I was in the office thanks to stuff for the kids I had to take care of and thus work from home Friday and Monday), but I had forgotten I took the shirt to wear Saturday morning. Of course I didn’t check my bag this morning to make sure I had everything.
Regardless, Rene suggested I hit up the facilities staff at the office to see if they had any spare shirts from the J.P. Morgan Corporate Chase that we participate in every year - and just my luck they did, and it even happened to be the right size! I love my company.
Adventures in having a computer dedicated to the kids while also wanting them to work on their homework.
And then not letting them log back in.
For the uninitiated, I logged in via my administrator account and force-quit his web browser. Then I removed his account information from the master password files. Notice how in the second image the first column is “1001″ (an account number) where before it listed his account name. Because after I removed his account information the computer has no idea who he (or his sister) are, and thus won’t let them log in. And then I shut down the computer.
(They actually tried to start it up and try to log in ... SEVERAL times before they got the hint that they were locked out. I kept shutting it down for about 10 minutes :)
I decided not to lift or do other workouts tonight because I’m fairly sore from lifting on Sunday. I’m actually surprised at how much my squats are making my hamstrings sore. Good, bad, indifferent? Dunno.
Lastly, we found another taekwondo place that’s nearby. We were on the hunt because we finally got pricing for the place my wife checked out. Let’s just say if she goes there she’ll be the only one there for a while. Between their high monthly rate, registration fees, and new uniform prices, we’d have to fork over $1,300 just for the first month for all of us to go.
No thanks.
So the place we found today is even closer and at worst wouldn’t be worse off than the current school. But we still have to check it out to see if they’ll have enough to offer my wife to keep her challenged.
