Felt like i should share this since it happened to some of my friends

Alot of my discord friends have installed tomadachi life through an emulator for your pc. And now some of them are getting hacked.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN INSTALLING SHIT!

And pls pls pls dont fall for this scam either!

A little warning post for my mutuals and just people in general There's this weird thing going around with Tumblr accounts posting comments saying along the lines of 'Hey, I want to DM you something private, but I can't for some reason' These accounts are hacked, and they're most likely trying to hack your account too by getting you into private DM's. PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT RANDOM DMS FROM PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW, AND IF THEY ARE PEOPLE YOU KNOW, DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS THAT THEY MIGHT GIVE YOU! One of my mutuals has possibly fallen victem to one of these accounts, so please, PLEASE be careful when you get a random DM, whether its from someone you don't know or someone you do. Stay safe out there

there is seemingly someone with a possibly stolen account who might be commenting on posts asking you to talk to them

they said it was a urgant matter about my account but that they couldnt leave long dms,

anf it took them multiple days since i contacted them to get them to respond which is fishy it was fishy and i went along cuz i was mostly just curious

however i strongly advise against following this person to discord or well "contacting tumblr support through discord" or what ever.

as most scammers use discord as it is easy and what not and their words saying its urgent instill fesr into the victims.

id know as i was a victim a few times when i was younger and have gotten wise, dosnt mean i wont be tricked again but i understand what to look out for and to stay calm and question them as well as reach out to real support of what ever platform you are using.

so beware

as i fully believe this person is a scammer or someone either wanting to hack accounts or scam people out of money. as its odd

i first am a smaller accounts, my posts barely really get any interaction, i dont even have my commissions open at the moment on any platform, so whoever they were allegedly talking to if there even was someone ealse which i highly doubt would be strange to impersonate such a small account.

while impersonating small accounts is heard of as its easier than huge accounts its still odd that allegedly someone was scamming others.

If you get a private message starting like this

DO NOT ENGAGE

I wasn´t aware these types of scammers/hackers are going around right now, fell for it and realised it just too late (hence I am now locked out of my account, desperately trying to get it back)

They come at you with fake concern and tell you to contact support via Discord. Should have been the first red flag, I know.

I know I don´t have much reach but I hope this helps someone.

And should my account privately message you, know that it is not me!

This month alone, I had three DMs from hacked accounts

One on Discord (they were a mutual. Don't worry, they made a new account)

Two on Tumblr (and one was from another mutual)

They will say that they accidentally flagged your account or reported you for fraud. Just a caution!
