HEY EVERYONE, JUST A WARNING. THAT "OOPS I ACCIDENTALLY REPORTED YOU" HACK THAT WAS ON DISCORD AND IS NOW ON TUMBLR

PLEASE REPORT IT AND BLOCK ANYONE WHO MESSAGES YOU SAYING THEY ACCIDENTALLY REPORTED YOU. IT'S A SCAM. YOU WILL BE HACKED.

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Recently a mutual of mine ( @linxprime ) on Tumblr got hacked and the hacked account tried to scam me too.

If you get an email, dm, or whatever asking you to move to a third party site like Discord for reasons relating to your account like termination, IT IS A SCAM.

Tumblr (or any other site) will contact you through email (very unlikely) or the site itself. Discord is a cesspool for scammers (i should know I'm on it all the time).

Block and report these accounts.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I almost had my entire Tumblr account hacked and compromised. Thankfully I stopped everything before it went too far and I didn't send ANY money, but I was kicked out of my account for almost a day until support got back to me.

I'm here to warn you all: do NOT trust these kinds of emails or accounts where they say how many reports your account has gotten and who you need to contact through Discord. I was messaged from some random user on here saying that they "accidentally" reported my account and they apparently received an email (the one I previously mentioned). I didn't think much of it, especially since my account was acting normally, but seeing how many people "apparently" reported my account for identity fraud or scamming in said email, I was getting worried/confused about what it said, so I decided to take it up with support just in case. Especially since this user seemed insistent about it claiming it came from a place of "concern". Now looking back, this person seemed suspicious, especially since they didn't tell me what account that was similar to mine that apparently WAS scamming people after I asked. I just blocked them in case they were on it. So please, watch out for @ king-big-guy and know that Tumblr would never request to talk over something like Discord, ask what your password is, and force you to pay to "activate" your account again. I don't know if this person was just tricked like me, but I personally don't trust them. Stay safe.

Discord Hacker Warning

PLEASE SPREAD THIS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!

There is a hack going around and this is how it works:

They will tell you that they’ve been developing a game with their friends and ask you for help on it. They will send you a file to download it and once you open it your Discord will be hacked by them and you cannot do anything anymore.

I am not certain if they always use the same file but the one I received was called

OwOGame.exe

If you see this please report and block the user you received it from.

They have taken 160€ out of my paypal with Discord Nitro (not sure what they want it for)

IMPORTANT

If people are seriously reporting folks for helping others out then that is absurd. Rethink your life choices if you are reporting people who are just trying to survive and / or people who are sharing those campaigns. You shouldn't report people just because you don't like them.

I am aware of this being a hack on discord, and I believe it to be the same on here.
