I sometimes confuse the Hackney and London Fields breweries (there's something about their branding), so I'm actually less familiar with HB than I sometimes feel I am. I have enjoyed their American Pale Ale, so grabbing the American IPA (not to be confused) was a no brainer.

I got a sherbet, melon and saucisson scent from this. That sweetness is in the taste too, although luckily it's lacking the flavour of a peppered sausage. There's rose and an almost powdery taste of sherbet, too. It's lightly carbonated, crisp and probably a bit dangerously drinkable for 6% abv. Finishes off with the zesty bitterness of orange peel.

This is more complex than I remember the American Pale Ale being. Generally a good, clean and tasty beer.
