Jesus, the tension!
"Deborah got ahold of your dirty panties" was definitely not on my 2025 bingo card.
I'm not a shipper (well, unrequited love is my jam, though), but the absolute lack of personal space was hot as fuck. Jesus, the toxic workplace environment nail marks had me fanning myself (I mean, the tension!)
"Why don't you ask that little cunt what happened?" is only one of the many, many excellent line deliveries in this episode. Kayla had some great ones.
The photo shoot scene? The look on their faces since they're not facing each other? The desperate attempt at keeping up the facade? The heartbreak slipping through? The cheek to cheek moment? It instantly became one of my favorite scenes in the entire show.
(And have I mentioned the tension?)
I don't have as many thoughts on episode 2. I liked episode 1 a little more, I think. I will say that the red haired wild animal that slips into Deborah's bed and refuses step out of the way while she's driving seems... meaningful. Especially since Deborah is the one who ends up backing off and turning the car around. Just saying.
Loved all the Deborah and Marcus scenes. God knows we were due some and I've been moaning about this since last year
Oh and Ava's smile when Deborah hugs her? Fuck, I think a gunshot would've hurt less!
I had high hopes for this premiere and, as usual, the show didn't disappoint me.
