long-overdue 🗝 Hades & Hecate
“Bohdisattva Counseling Center.” Holding the pamphlet under the shade of her crimson sun umbrella, Hecate read the name of the building in front of her under her breath in a reassuring manner. It has been a shameful amount of centuries since she’d seen his face, even longer since the king had remotely directed a word at her. With a few steps Hecate would pass the Center’s front door threshold and she noted to herself the place actually looked quite charming, quite contrasting to his previous workplace.
The exchange between the receptionist was rather short, Hecate had no intention to dwell on such irrelevant chit-chat and simply made her way towards the indicated office, heels clicking against the seemingly marble floor strolling for her walk-in. Lucky timing uh? Or predicted circumstances thanks to a minor divination spell. “Mr. Doctor?”
Hecate knocked on the door and called melodically, making her way into the office before any sign of response. Her posture would not match the nerves within her mind, artificial over-confidence was her signature defence mechanism and there was no way she wouldn’t use it on this occasion. “How’s it going boss, got sick of hearing the downstairs’ laments?”
