This is Hadleigh Country Park which overlooks the Thames Estuary. It is where the mountain biking was staged in the 2012 Olympic Games so these must be mountains, right?

RIP Gerald Harper (15.2.1929 - 2.7.2025)

Gazette and Hadleigh followed in short order and are both #worthy of checking out‚ but by the end of the 70s Gerald had more or less retired from screenwork and was happily settled in doing radio #and stage work. theatre was always his first love and outside of two very busy decades in the 60s and 70s that's where he seems to have #spent the majority of his career. good for him. i usually rec something less well known for these posts but first and foremost i have to #push AAL on anyone who hasn't yet seen it who has any interest in old tv. it's amazing. otherwise‚ i seem to recall him having a good time #in his ep of The Caesars (a great little series) and A Game of Murder is a highly enjoyable and pretty silly bit of 60s crime drama

GERALD HARPER (1929-Died July 2nd 2025,at 96). English actor, best known for his work on television, having played the title roles in Adam Adamant Lives! (1966–67) and Hadleigh (1969–76). He then returned to his main love, the theatre. His classical work includes playing on Broadway with the Old Vic company, playing Iago at the Bristol Old Vic and Benedick at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Other plays in London included Crucifer of Blood at the Haymarket Theatre, House Guest, A Personal Affair, Suddenly at Home and Baggage. He directed many plays, amongst them a production of Blithe Spirit in Hebrew at the Israeli National Theatre.Gerald Harper - Wikipedia
