meet yi seul, darling of the entire royal family. she’s the golden child tbh
loosely based her character personality on yeonwoo from the moon that embraces the sun
believes she’s her father’s favourite child which is why he hasn’t married her off for political gain yet ( probably bc she actually is ). she adores him more than anything in the world even if she disagrees with some of his choices, but she hardly ever gets to see him
10/10 would hype up her siblings - all of them. she isn’t the type to discriminate between half and full blood sibs
opinionated, but generally knows her place and when to hold her tongue. the typical Gentle Woman you would see in this time period, with a few quirks. she was basically conditioned to worry about appearances due to her training as a princess, so she won’t speak out of turn but you can tell that there’s always a storm brewing in her eyes
often studies and reads on her own, most of the time in secret. knows both hanja and hangul; will often speak her mind on things if she’s given permission to or if she trusts the person enough to do so
the kind of girl who is honestly ahead of her time
cares very much for her handmaidens and those of lower status; doesn’t take kindly to separation due to status
rather idealistic and hopeful for change. because of this, she can be a bit naive and too trusting
was kidnapped not long after she turned fifteen in an assassination attempt. after she was saved, more guards were placed around her rooms in the palace. for a short time, she was sent to a vacation home in an attempt to completely isolate her to spare her from another situation like this
she’s not really shown signs of being affected by this situation, but who knows what pain she’s hiding deep down because of it. she hasn’t really spoken about the situation since it happened and any attempts to bring it up will end up with seul changing the subject
a lot of people know about the attempted assassination though. it’s very likely that even yangban children would have heard rumours of it even if they don’t know what she really looks like; many lower class citizens would have probably lamented over this bc they’ve heard of the genuine kindness and genteel nature of seul in particular

extremely smart. i mean, extremely smart, to the point that people cluck their tongues and whisper about how he’s wasting his talents. he graduated sungkyunkwan super early, not because he hated school but because he wanted to impress his father for once and catch up to his older brother’s back who seemed so far away
fact of the matter is, nothing he did was noticeable and it really disappointed him. all he ever got to see was his father spewing insults and then cooing over his older brother at parties and things so it got to be pretty damaging for his psyche
moved out into his own estate and just lazes now. blows his father’s money on gisaengs, liquor, and paint / ink supplies
his mind is still unnaturally sharp, but he doesn’t put it to good use. chances are he’s probably thinking of seven evil ( or sometimes good ) plots a day, but is too lazy or doesn’t care to do anything
he’s pretty ambitious but doesn’t have the motivation to put it to good use right now? so that’s going to come about in the rp, stay tuned -

he’s been training to be in wars all of his life, and rose up through the ranks to become a grand general before his injury
but then, he was injured at the hands of a pirate on the battlefield. he barely escaped with his life, but now he can’t go back to war and do all the things he’d hoped to do, so he’s not sure if it was for the better
he risked his all protecting san though, and that’s something that he doesn’t regret
because the injury was to his leg and it was pretty severe, he walks with a limp. as he grows older, he’ll probably have to use a cane to walk with
it also pains him a lot in the cold months.
he’s pretty resigned to his fate right now but also, very sad about it. because the thing he worked so hard for all his life kind of crashed and burned before his eyes
but the king thought he was deserving ( even if he doesn’t believe he is ), so for his heroism he decided to grant him a betrothal to his daughter. jinil was kind of skeptical about it at first and then he laid eyes on miyoung and yikes,,,,,, the boy is smitten

hello, hello, this is rosé with a second muse! i also play hahn, and am bringing you my daughter, soojung, the only daughter of special advisor young. she’s rather naïve on the outside, playing pretend like a good daughter that her father raised her to be, but pretty lethal on the inside. she’s currently betrothed to the youngest son of navy general kang’s, jaejoong. they’re still in engagement level, but she’s trying her best to be a good and supportive wife even when her heart is not there yet. without further ado, please like this if you’d like to plot with either one of my children! i can also be found on twitter and discord, simply inquire because i change my usernames a lot. now, without further ado, here’s where her bio can be found, and i’ll summarize her under the cut. trigger warning for parental death, mentions of gore, and general messiness.
an only daughter, she lost her mother in an assault in the middle of the night when they were sleeping together. her mother died in front of her, bloodied. she almost got murdered during the same timeframe as well, the attackers unknown but back then her father was someone of moderate importance. it was likely of personal vendetta. she was saved just in time, and not all of the attackers were captured or killed in place, so her father was and is scared of their safety still.
she didn’t understand about her mother’s death until she was older, which etched trauma in her. she began to comprehend why, in secret, her father would equip her with self-defense, since the probabilities of their being attacked again were still there. she detests the politics since she believes it’s to blame for her mother’s death, and also detests being weak in general.
her father raised her to be a weapon, inevitably, able to survive in case he gets killed and she’s left alone in the world. she’s able to draw swords and daggers, and mix poisons from given spices or leaves. can survive in the wilderness. one thing, though: she cannot swim in the sea, even when she can in the river. which is fairly risible for her soon-to-be husband, apparently. and it is, because she’s marrying a naval officer with questionable intentions that she’s going to 170% support.
in spite of marrying her into a family that he more or less knows ( well or not, up to discussion ), her father told her that she’s always welcome back in case her husband happens to be not a good one. in her case, though, she’s likely to cut his fingers first and cook it in front of him before escaping the marriage. but that hopefully will not happen, depending on how events unfold.
before her betrothal, she was courted by many men because she shows the tendencies of being a good wife: mastery at painting, flower arranging, cooking, socializing. being civil, donning the unassuming front is her specialty. she’s basically trying her best to survive in this men’s world, and she does so by exploiting the god-given talents and looks. she’s very friendly, especially to protect her father’s pride. if anyone tries touching her father she’ll fite.

meet jung dahye, only child and only daughter of section head general jung
he obviously wanted a son, but figured that his daughter was good looking enough to potentially marry off into a more powerful position since he’s one of the lowest ranked head generals. but life doesn’t always work how you want it to, does it general jung? no, it doesn’t.
getting off into the basics, she’s the only cousin of jung hyukun and he’s honestly the only male she’s probably ever been in contact with aside from her father and her uncle.
she was in a fire at the jung estate when she was younger. hot oil and a candle met, and we all know that’s never a good combination .. she was stuck in the fire for a little while, not because she couldn’t get out but because she was trying to help the personal servant girl she grew up with out of the fire. it was too late though; the girl had already inhaled too much smoke and dahye had to save herself.
unfortunately, that left her with a scar. in this time period, that’s almost like a death sentence for women who were expected to be pure beauties. her father had a fit when he found out about it and instead of being thankful she was alive, scorned her because he’d never be able to marry her off now. this also means he’d be stuck with her for the rest of his life, and he blamed it on her.
she thought she was brave for trying to help the girl out of the fire, and even thought that she was like the legendary phoenix. but unfortunately, no one else saw it that way. so dahye is constantly belittled by her father when he’s home, and honestly not really allowed to leave the estate.
there are a lot of rumours about the daughter of general jung - namely that the fire made her horribly disfigured. this isn’t the case; she has a scar on her arms from the burns which is true, but not so much that she’s ugly. she’s actually quite pretty in the face, but because dahye constantly hears that she’s ugly, she doesn’t really believe it to be so.
the only person she’s generally close with is hyukun. he comes over to read her poetry since she hasn’t really been allowed out of the estate ... until now.
she’s finally been released into the wild ( !!! ) to attend the lessons held by the head court lady. she will struggle a bit with needlework because her nerves were damaged in the fire, however, she is good with tea ceremony and also floral arrangement.

she’s very sweet. her bio has written her off to be a bit aloof and haughty- and she is to a certain extent. like it’s kind of a facade that she relies on heavily. i wouldn’t really call her soft spoken...she’s very vocal of her opinions when she does have them. it’s just that she doesn’t care much to entertain people so she’s very quiet in that sense i guess.
she’s got a soft spot for her younger siblings- especially her brother. she dotes on him like no other. like she’s a huge family girl. she adores all her siblings and would do damn near anything to ensure their happiness- but her younger brother is at the top of the list...like she says she doesn’t have favorites but don’t lie seora you have a favorite.
let’s be honest she just wants the best for everyone??? like she doesn’t really like seeing people unhappy... but she knows that there’s a limit to things she can do for others. and she will try to push that limit depending on who you are.
seora is a bit,,,, two-faced. i guess it’s a bit more of resting bitch face?? like she’s mastered the “don’t fucking talk to me” look and she often relies on it to get her through social events.
doesn’t have much of a sharp tongue tbh. she’s considerate of those she speaks to, but if it’s a matter she feels strongly on, she won’t hesitate to be a bit snarky.
she doesn’t showcase her emotions in public because not only is she a princess, she doesn’t like to burden others with her own problems. she’s extremely secretive and it’s rare that she’ll ever express her emotions.
seora knows what she needs to do to get what she wants, and she doesn’t hesitate to follow through with those things. however, she does play fair. she’s a very hardworking person and doesn’t take the easy way out.
she’s a bisexual lil gal. she loves without boundaries and she loves wholeheartedly. this is honestly not much of a secret, kind of a just a really unspoken thing lol. she’s very affectionate with those she is close to so it’s just written off as seora being seora. kind of funny because her standards for men are extremely high, but any girl can look her way for more than one minute and she’ll be putty in their hands.
the idea of marriage doesn’t scare her. she knows that her mother would like to see her daughter be married off. seora is not one to really rely on someone else for her happiness and she’s extremely optimistic. even if she were placed in a marriage with a complete stranger, she believes she could find happiness.
her interest lies in two things: the garden and literature. she’s like a little garden nome lol. she enjoys spending her time in the garden. she loves everything about the gardens. like the smell, the wind, the everything basically. in terms of literature, her main focus is poetry though. oh god- she loves a good poem.
tldr; she’s a walking contradiction. her haughtiness is nothing but a facade. she’s sweet and caring with those she is close with. however she has her own secrets that she’ll never share.
