he  doesn’t  look  much  older  than  her,     &   yet  he  speaks  in  a  manner  that  is  reminiscent  of  ...  her  grandfather?     yes,   that  was  right  ------ her grandfather.     he  was  a  man  who  had  for  too  much  time  and  far  too  little  company,     and  so  his  stories  tended  to  lack  an  end.     this  man  does  the  same,     only  the  subject  matter  is  hardly  as  compelling  as  the  adventures  she  was  regaled  with  as  a  little  girl.     all  this  because  she  doesn’t  want  to  play  a  game  with  him.

      she  traces  over  his  wounds ,  all  fatal  .  strength  emanates  from  this  man  in  a  way  that  makes  tenzin  shudder  to  imagine  what  sort  of  curse  left  this  mark  on  him ,  but  whatever  it  is ,  it’s  gone .  the  strange  markings  scare  her  ------  some  part  of  her  wonders  if  he  is  a  curse  himself  ------  but  tenzin  knows  all  about  the  marks  mere  humans  can  have .  she  watches  him  stir ,  and  the  smile  she  gives  him  is  gentle  :  it  is  a  physician’s  gentle  promise  to  reassure .  it  is  a  kind  woman’s  gesture .

he feels...oddly drawn to her, somehow. he doesn’t understand why, as normally razor was extremely wary of strangers. he didn’t tend to get along with most humans, so he tended to stay away from them. but something about her almost seemed... not human. she was ethereal in a way he hadn’t seen before in humans, and something about her made him feel.... relaxed. 

he watches her converse with andrius from behind a tree, peeking around to try to get a better look. he’s not supposed to be in this area anymore, not since andrius had outcasted him from the pack, but he finds himself sneaking closer just to get a better look at her.
