Muhtesem Yüzyil (2011 - 2014)
Magnificent Century + Hairpieces in 1.10: The Troubled Days
Valide Hafsa Sultan - Muhteşem Yüzyıl, ep. 13
Difference between magnificent century! Hürrem Sultan and demet altınyeleklioğlu books! Hürrem Sultan:
Books Hürrem
Her full name is Alexandra Anastasia lisowska (between the concubines her name is ruslana, to the west her name is roxelana, to Süleyman she is Hürrem. Yes, girly has identity crisis in this one.)
She has dark red hair, and wide blue eyes that is mistaken for green (the author is obsessed with describing her eyes in any given opportunity shdbd.)
She has no siblings, her father is a priest named Nikola.
She was stolen from her home at eight, a Tatar named taçam Noyan stole her (he would later become her father figure.)
She was almost r@ped at this age, but taçam killed the man before he could go further.
She was brought as a gift to the Crimean royal family, she grew there until she became fifteen.
When she went back to her village in Ruthenia, she finds it empty. But she finds stuff in her house, the only things left from her Homeland: a broken plate, torn curtain fabric, the broken icon of mother Mary, and a white wedding dress fabric (it would later be her wedding gift to hatice), this would become her dwory and her everything until she dies.
She has a friend that would be with her until death, the Tatar girl merzuka, she would be her handmaiden in the palace.
At fifteen, aybala hatun (valide sultan's relative), who was very close to Alexandra, dies, and in her will, she asked for Alexandra to go and become the queen for the ottoman, for she had seen a dream where Alexandra holds a falcon, and she flies with it (she would tell Alexandra of that too).
The Crimean king was to send gifts in a ship to his nephew Süleyman, and upon hearing aybala's will, Alexandra was placed as one of the gifts in the ship.
She was a big rebel in the harem, demanding that she would be taken to valide sultan and talk to her about the will (she gets beaten by sümbül ağa every time, also, sümbül is black, and there is a daye hatun btw).
She stays there for a whole year before she could see Süleyman.
In the harem, she meets a Russian girl named Katerina, who slept with Süleyman only once. Katerina teaches her 'love' lessons and tips so she could seduce süleyman. (How does she learn? They have sex, and soon Alexandra learns that Katerina is a lesbian. In fact, all harem girls are lesbian, said that if they can't have a man do them, they'll do each other dhdbdbdb).
She sings in the harem, her voice would be echoing in the palace, this is how süleyman would later notice her.
She befriends Hatice Sultan, the one who would talk to valide about her.
In order to be noticed, Hürrem bribes sümbül to have sex with her, and he would tell valide about her and praise her.
The valide immediately loves her and considers her her daughter (Alexandra calls her mother Hafsa).
Upon insistence from his sister and mother, süleyman personally comes to the harem to see her, they have a sweet talk, he likes her immediately, they fall in love (Süleyman had already sold his soul when he heard her sing then), and he gives her the name "Hürrem". His smiling sun.
He would ask her to sew a purple handkerchief (her favorite color ever), then he would take it from her. Meaning he wants her in his bedroom jdnddm.
She kills a Greek girl who suspected that she and sümbül screwed, no one knows of this, sümbül himself was later killed by taçam Noyan without her knowledge.
(there is a five or six pages long sürrem sex sndbdb.)
(will continue.)
A while back I did a few drawings for an Iron Widow concept ; Ottoman pilots !
The latest is meant to be Hafsa Sultan, Hurrem & Gülbahar's stepmother (essentially).
This black, golden and silver tiara was first worn by Hafsa Sultan in the twenty-third episode of the second season of Magnificent Century. It was also worn by Mahidevran Sultan in the penultimate episode of the same season. The tiara appeared next on Hürrem Sultan in the fourth episode of the third season. Lastly, it was seen on Mihrimah Sultan in the seventh episode of the fourth season.
What if..?
Am I the only one who sits and thinks of the what-ifs in the Magnificent Century show? Now I am thinking of making a series here of all the what-ifs that bother me.
What if Sadika had changed her mind? What if she had decided not to kill Suleiman? What if she had gone and worked with Hatice silently, like she was supposed to? What if the Halvat had gone through with Suleiman, and Mehmed hadn't almost drowned? What if she had become a favorite, but what if Hürrem hadn't gotten rid of her like she did the others in time, and she had actually gotten pregnant from Suleiman? Would she have confessed what she was sent to do? Would he forgive her? Personally, I don't think he liked her enough to forgive her ngl.
Or as we remember, she went with Hatice and Suleiman still managed to sleep with her, what if she had abandoned her plan and spoke about what happened, would she have been sent to the harem?
What if she had been actually married off to Naasuh? What would this relationship have been like? Would she try and acclimate? Would she have been able to stay around? We all knew she didn't have any feelings for Nasuh; she just used the creepy older man who liked her, but before her death, she had said to Nasuh that he was a nice man, so we knew she didn't hate him.
If Suleiman had forgiven her if she had confessed, would the Valide? I think the hell not, no lie. The Valide had red lines, and those were her family and especially her children and grandchildren.
I cannot stop thinking about the what-ifs that could have happened in the show. Does anyone have an opinion about this specific what-if?
Thoughts on ayshe hafsa sultan
I always hated her. I found her abusive and cruel, and very unfun. The acting was great though and she was a real menace (looking at you MCK Safiye)
She's also one of those characters that I think is well-written because the writing makes sense and is fairly consistent but no aspect of her ever fascinated me.
