Day 8 - Roark/Riley’s daughter Maisie!

Maisie is a competitive trainer who’s determined to do what her parents never did and become the next Sinnoh League champion alongside her Bastiodon. She has an impulsive, happy-go-lucky attitude and likes to use her inherited aura powers to play pranks and cause mischief. This has caused something of a rift with her younger brother Fabian, as he views her as irresponsible, particularly as she “abandoned” the Canalave gym leader position to go travelling.

Fankidtober, Day 20: Fabian (Roark/Riley’s son)

He’s the current Canalave Gym Leader, having taken over the position from his grandfather after his retirement. Like Byron, he specialises in Steel types, with Mega Lucario as the ace of his team. He’s also a powerful Aura user, though he has little interest in becoming a full-fledged Aura Guardian and mostly uses his powers for mundane tasks like moving heavy objects. He can sometimes come across as a little harsh and intimidating, but he has a soft side underneath the tough-guy exterior.

Are there some fankids you haven't mentioned?

There are a few! Mostly kids whose full names/designs are still WIP, hence why I haven’t added them to the official list on the blog yet. Some notable ones:

Ethan/Whitney have a daughter around Harper’s age (maybe slightly younger) whose name I haven’t decided on yet! She’s a Pokéathlete who likes playing baseball and hockey.

Selene/Gladion have a daughter named Helia. She’s a shy character who wants to work for Aether Foundation when she’s older. She travels with Elio/Kiawe’s son Clove, who’s taking on the island challenge.

Roark/Riley have a son named Fabian, who takes over the Steel-type gym from his grandpa Byron. He gets along better with Pokémon than people - he has a reputation for being cold and anti-social (kind of like Paul in terms of mannerisms), but he loves his team and spoils them rotten.

Update as of Oct 2022: this post is out of date due to changes in ships; Helia is now a Selene/Lillie kid named Lunaria.
