“Keep it up and you’ll die in pain.”
𝙲 𝙷 𝙾 𝚄 𝙹 𝙸 𝚂 𝙰 𝚈 𝚂 𝙽 𝙾 𝚃 𝙷 𝙸 𝙽 𝙶 𝙰 𝚂 Ino presents the big ‘surprise’ she’d been going on and on about: An empty plot of land. It was a flat open space, no trees that would hinder any sort of building project. Only thick grass and a few wildflowers growing here and there. Yep, a big empty plot.
“Ermm. . “ Chouji begins, large hand reaching up to scratch the back of their head. They chew on the inside of their cheek, brows furrowed in confusion. “Ino, I dunno if you realized but, uh. .”
“..S’pretty empty. Yer gonna fill this space with somethin’, right?” They tilt their head to the side and shut one eye. “What’re you gonna put here?”
@hagisun
hagisun asked: “ i feel like i’ve been living in a storm for so long, like i’m just drifting from wave or wave hoping i won’t drown. ” / kaRIN
“ then drown. ” that sounds mean , and she waves her hands around, “ i don’t mean it in a bad way , but sometimes you gotta let yourself feel those emotions right ? ” don’t listen to her , she doesn’t know what she’s talking about , but she’s trying. “ like -- it’s okay to go under the current instead of fighting. it’s the easiest way to get free of it. by fighting it , you only make it worse. ” a pause , as she brings coffee mug to her lips, “ or some bullshit like that. i don’t know. ”
hagisun asked: “ i can’t make you trust me. but i’m gonna stick around long enough for you to realize you can. ” / karin
trust is something that gets you killed. this is a lesson that karin has learned over and over and over and over. trust the village / and they’ll send you to your slaughter. (kusagakure). trust a leader / and they’ll use you for your powers. (orochimaru). trust a teammate / and they’ll stab you first chance they get. (sasuke). trust is a stupid thing for a kunoichi to hold onto. she’s pulling her hair up into a ponytail / and her nose wrinkles when ino speaks. she glances over to the blonde , from the sink as she pulls hair through the ponytail , brow quirking. “ you really had to bring trust into something ? sorry love , i don’t trust you not to stab me in the back when you need too. and you'd be wise to not trust me to not stab you in the back when i need too”
hagisun asked: “ they call me the fruit cake because no one wants to eat this snack. ” // @ karin
“ babe. ” blood red / crimson eyes move from her paper that she’s reading to her girlfriend , whose bemoaning in the kitchen , stretched out over the counter. “ if you want me to eat you out , just tell me. ”
@hagisun -- ;
“Ugh, if I die here, just give me a sky burial. Even that sounds exhausting,” Sakura sighed exaggeratedly as she slumped on one of the two desks in the ramshackle office of the constructing mental health clinic, ears ringing from the constant hammering and what the kunoichi swore had to be a jackhammer. Well, no one said that constructing their own mental health clinic for kids from the ground up would be easy, right?
“Do we have any more coffee? If not, I’ll put on a pot.”
“everything will fall into place.” ..Says @hagisun‘s Ino to Li, selected from four word starters. Accepting!
𝙻 𝙸 𝙷 𝚄 𝙵 𝙵 𝚂 𝙰 𝚃 𝙷 𝙴 𝚁 words. That was easy for Ino to say— She was not confined to a hospital bed like he was! She could walk around the village freely if she wanted to, or train whenever she wanted, or run laps around the forest if she wanted. But Li? He couldn’t. He goes to fold his arms over his chest in frustration when he’s greeted by a sharp pain in his left arm. Ouch! The damage from his fight with Gaara still remained after two-weeks of hospitalization.
“Argh! I cannot even folds my arms!” Li grumbles in his frustration. “I cannot do anything! It is easy for you to say that things will get better or will fall into place— You are not confined to a hospital bed!” By the end of it he’s shouting.
And he realizes how unfair it is to be yelling at his friend. Li immediately hangs his head as his cheeks burn with shame. Ino was only trying to help and yet he was taking his frustrations out on her. He must remedy this.
“I am sorry. You do not deserve such fury. You are only trying to help.” He is much quieter now. “I am just. . It is so frustrating to be unable to do anything. I feel that I am falling behind everyone else. And no doctor can give me a straight answer on when I will be able to leave.”
“letting go hurts.. a lot.” ..Says @hagisun‘s Ino to Chouji, selected from four word starters. Accepting!
𝙲 𝙷 𝙾 𝚄 𝙹 𝙸 𝙾 𝙵 𝙵 𝙴 𝚁 𝚂 𝙰 𝙽 𝙾 𝙳 in response to Ino’s statement, racking their brain for an appropriate response. She was right: Letting go was hard— Regardless of what that thing is. Chouji himself was struggling to let go of his desire to control things that could not be controlled; For instance, Shikamaru was far too busy to spend a lot of time with his former teammates. Being the planner of the Shinobi Union following the war did that to a person.
But it was hard for Chouji to let go of the fact that they were no longer children. It was hard to let go that they couldn’t solve all of their problems with barbecue and laughter at the end of the day. Being an adult was hard. Indeed, it was very hard. But what had remained constant through all his hardships was Ino’s presence.
That made it a bit easier.
“..Yeah, s’tough.” He finally responds with words. Chouji reaches out then, clamping a large hand on her slender shoulder and giving it a squeeze of support. “But havin’ you around has really helped me adjust to a lotta stuff in life.”
He offers a small smile of encouragement. “We’ll get through this. We got each other.”
