I desperately love the idea of Zim getting bits of his code in his pak repaired. Not everything because that wouldn’t happen. But enough is fixed that his brain isn’t so foggy, he doesn’t get brain zaps as much when he gets upset or emotional. It’s enough that he can make better decisions and think clearly about things.
Think of it as some kind of metaphor for getting on adhd meds or smth.
The relief that’s felt and the strange sort of betrayal of “if only I had known it was this bad.”
Also Zim having the chance to think about how his life has played out. Dealing with his own internalized issues and starting to see himself with personhood instead of defective or non-defective.
