Personally, I didn't find all the characters likeable immediately in TID and TDA - I didn't like Will until clockwork princess and I actually disliked Emma so much in the beginning of lady midnight that I stopped reading it and only picked it up again when Lord of shadows came out 😂 There were large parts of Lord of shadows I was annoyed with Mark and Julian has always been an up-and-down character to me (and he's still not a fave of mine).

Its interesting because the TMI gang never annoyed me massively - I think it's an age thing because I read TMI when I was like 13-15 whereas i read TDA when I was about 17-19; I probably wasn't very good at recognising more subtle issues with the TMI characters when I was that young!

But yeah, the TMI gang have had great growth and its been really great to read 🥰

It's always so interesting to see how people bonded with these characters. Like everyone has a personal journey with tsc and I love that so much.

Also life advice: Do not trust people who don't like the tmi gang :)
