iii Points: Your Starter Kit
Readable Noise prepares you for one of the state’s best, and highly anticipated music festivals of the year
Miami- The greatest thing about imagination is that it’s everywhere. You can look up at the sky and perhaps see a passing cloud resembling an elephant with two trunks, just as easily as the next person could say it’s two snakes with a rather large speech balloon.
Imagination can turn the plainest wall into a canvas that holds everything that does not exist in words, but in emotive; splashed on colors that are both carefully and messily spray painted on. Underneath skyscrapers and stardust, and the rattling Metrorail, it can also turn a relatively small community into one of the biggest music gatherings in the region.
iii Points has returned, on a new date for this new year (Feb 15-17th) with a beyond jaw dropping line-up that has once again outdone themselves, featuring headliners such as SZA, Beach House, Herbie Hancock and Godspeed You Black Emperor, in their South Florida’s festival debut, just to name a brief few. All alongside art installations and after parties and the residual heart balloons that follow Valentine’s Day. It is a great deal to take in but don’t worry; we here at Readable Noise have prepared a mini guide for you to get through the festival and the best slices of imagination.
Tickets are still available at both the GA tier (single day at $75 and weekend passes at $208) and VIP from $125 to $375, the latter of which comes with no-wait entry into the festival, an dedicated viewing area of the Mind Melt main stage, air conditioned lounge, private restrooms and reduced drink pricing, to appease your pocket following the heart balloons and chocolates from the day before.
Want a little something extra for that special someone, or your very special self? iii Points have partnered with Fooq’s for an additional VIP experience to present the “dinner and a show” option in traditional Miami fashion, 3 course menu with an unobstructed view of the Main Stage. Though the experience is as of this writing, sold out for all headliners throughout the weekend, fear not; a waiting list is available here, https://www.exploretock.com/fooqs/ should someone not be able to fall down into the Wynwood wonderland...
In addition, as we gain ever closer to the big 3 days, more info has come out, including stage times and designation, all of which can be conveniently found on the festival’s mobile app to best plan the musical goodness to be had amidst the 21 unique and indictable immersive art experiences that will be set up throughout the weekend for festival goers including works from Nonotak Studios, Haiiileen, Motorefisico and Aja Monet that range from the sensory to the ethereal. For those who want to venture into a different reality, an AR lounge will be on site Sunday and should your neon heart prefer the 24 hour party people existence, Boiler Room MIA will be hosting their own stage during the weekend, with performers and DJ’s still, incredibly, to be added.
And for those who want an audible guide, come back in on Friday (02/08), when we here at Readable Noise will do our own version of a iii Points preview, showcasing the best of the unknown in our new band spotlight of the festival.
Until then, you can purchase your tickets at http://iiipoints.com, download the festival app available on Android and iOS and of course, turn on your music device of choice, and dive in...
