"what does the Ides of March even celebrate" aside from Caesar's death? Direct action. Get in the spirit and stab your nearest shit politician
Hello, factives!! You are cool! I hope you're doing well! Remember to eat, drink, and get enough rest! This is your reminder post to unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders, take your meds, stretch, take a deep breath, and do anything else that might make your day just that little bit better! You're gonna be a-okay, got that? Okay now go out and have a great day!!
[ID: ten nearly identical icons, save for the flat colors of the backgrounds. Each icon features a white ampersand with swirls at each end and a black border with varying thickness. The background colors of each icon, in order, are: red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, indigo, purple, pink, brown, and dark gray. / End ID]
Not all of the new followers I've been getting recently are bots – some are just newcomers. But all you newcomers need icons that aren't just the default few, or people will block and report you because they think you're a bot. To solve this issue, I present these to you: basic ampersand icons, free to use without credit!! Rejoice, you now look much less suspicious to the vast lands of Tumblr. And as a bonus, you get to show off some covert pride, as the ampersand is often taken as a symbol of plurality. And, well, y'all are following me; I assume most of you are systems.
(Even if you're not new, if you want to use these, feel free to! This are just primarily aimed at the new folk I keep nearly blocking before realizing they're not bots.)
I totally get where it's coming from, but it's still a little funny whenever I find the niche trope of "singlet who only knows the host of a system worries over getting to know the rest of their headmates". Not because I find the trope bad or anything – it can be very well done! It's just so foreign to how we in particular live our lives that the dilemma sounds ridiculous if we try to apply it to ourselves.
Setting aside the fact that we don't have a host... It's impossible for anyone to know (as in, have a relationship* with) one of us. We're constantly co-fronting, and even then, we almost always have a few folks in co-con watching our interactions with other people. There's not really any scenario where someone could form a relationship with only one of us, because even if they and we went to extreme lengths to keep their interactions isolated to only one headmate... passive influence and bleedover are bound to affect what goes on. Everything we say and do is filtered through many minds at all times. Can't really have a single relationship with a system like ours.
*any kind of relationship, not just romantic
Which is how we return to the humor of this trope when applied to our system. You're nervous about meeting more headmates besides X? But you've already spoken to A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J... Etcetera, etcetera.
It's just a little funny, you know?
Our system has a soft rule (more like a very strong suggestion) that if you've been in the front for 1k hours you take a break and go on a walk in the innerworld or something. It didn't sound like a lot to me, considering people usually stick around for a couple hundred hours after switching in nowadays, but then I calculated it and uh
That's over 41 days of fronting or being co-con. About a month and a third of just hanging out in the front. With the full knowledge that being in the front can tire us out over time, to the point our gatekeepers will sometimes make decision calls to yeet us out of the front if we seem like we're getting too tired and need a break.
Yeah, I get why we have the rule now.
It's time to play the game, "is this inaccurate medical information for plot purposes or because the author genuinely doesn't know shit about this?" Starring me, reading fanfiction
Imposition can be fun, but sometimes it messes with our headmates' sense of their own "bodies". Hail and Stormy are trying to play pat-a-cake, but they keep missing or mixing up their hands... It's understandable, though. Trying to visualize yourself outside of your physical body is bound to mess with your proprioception at first, especially if you haven't had much experience controlling your physical body like those two. Our poor brain must be rather confused, too, considering we're not very used to the practice yet. They'll keep trying, though!
I've gotta say that even with so much time having passed since the release of FNAF:SB, I still don't get why so many people wanna date Sun and Moon. I do think this is a win for the plurals, tho. The rep may suck but at least the rep is loved and appreciated (in multiple ways, even, lol)
