Go back to the volcano…

Our heroine, Rae Ash, come across these weird twitching black splotches often, especially after being released from the extinct volcano she’s occupied for a while. These splotches can shape-shift into anything of varying size and ability, always giving out traces of ash… and they always tempt her to “go back to the volcano.” But for what? Perhaps we’ll find out.
