Summary: You're just the girl who plays the trumpet in the college band at the games, what does the handsome quarterback want to do with the likes of you?
Your car sputtered and coughed up a bunch of steam, and you pulled over to the side of the road. You pulled on your hair as you got out of your car to take a look at the engine. Okay so you had basically no idea what you were looking at. With a sigh, you pulled out your phone, only to see it was basically dead. Just great. Now you would have to hope someone would be kind enough to stop that wasn’t some major creep.
A few minutes later, a soft rev of an engine came closer and you saw a motorcycle pull beside your car. A handsome, muscular man hopped off his bike. A leather jacket rested on his shoulders and he had gorgeous blue eyes.
“Need a hand?” He asked flashing a charming smile.
“Yeah, I, uh, I don’t really know what happened. One minute she’s doning fine, the next…” You gestured to the steaming car.
“May I?” He asked pointing to the hood.
“Sure.”
He stuck his head in the engine and began touching a few things. Humming a soft tune, he looked over a few more things before turning to you.
“So, there’s a few things wrong with it and my shop’s not too far from here.” He said before pulling out his phone and typing a few things. “My buddy Steve is gonna tow your car over and you can ride to the shop with me.”
“How much is that all gonna cost?” You asked with a sigh.
He grinned. “Don’t worry about it, doll. I’ve got it.”
“Are you sure?” You asked with wide eyes.
“I’m sure, doll.” He chuckled before looking down the road. “And here comes Steve.”
After giving Steve the keys and whatnot, you followed Bucky over to his bike, your nervousness starting to spike. He handed you a helmet with a soft smile.
“You can hold onto me as tight as you need to, okay? And I promise I’m a safe driver.” He said before straddling his bike. “Come on.”
You slipped the helmet on and got on the bike, hesitantly wrapping your arms around his waist. You could feel his muscles through his clothes and were not surprised how strong he was.
“Ready?”
You gulped. “I guess.”
“Alright, doll, here we go.” He said before revving the engine and taking off.
You squeaked and tightened your grip around him and you felt the vibrations of his laughter. The drive there wasn’t too long, just like he said, and you were relieved when it stopped.
“You good?” Bucky asked as he helped you off his bike. “You got quite the grip.”
You took the helmet off and nodded your head. “Yeah, but I don’t think it’s my thing.”
“It’s not for everybody, that’s for sure. Are you new in town? I feel like I would remember a pretty dame like you.”
He was laying on the charm. You smiled at him. “Yes. I’m actually moving in. My car probably died because of all the stuff I was moving.”
Bucky hummed. “Okay, I heard someone was moving into town, no one mentioned how pretty you are. I’d love to give you a tour of the town, if you’re interested.”
You laughed at his boldness. “How about we see about my car first?”
He licked his lips and smiled. “Yes ma’am.”
~~~~~
It had been a few weeks since your run in with the handsome biker and he always managed to show up when you needed him most. He had been very helpful in moving things into your new house, and you became fast friends. He had invited you to a barbeque he was having, and you agreed to go. He said he would pick you up on his bike, which you had gotten more used to, since Bucky insisted you ride with him. But you would be lying in you said you didn’t like the close contact.
Breaking you out of your thoughts, you heard the purr of his motorcycle and walked outside.
“Hey doll!” He beamed. “Ready to go?”
You nodded and slipped on your helmet before straddling the bike. You wrapped your arms around him and Bucky let out a soft sigh of contentment, before driving off. He may have gone a little faster than usual to get you to hold onto him tighter, but he wasn’t going to tell you that. He drove right past his house and you were suddenly confused. He drove for a bit longer before stopping at a beautiful park. One tree in particular stood out. Fairy lights strung across the branches and a picnic basket settled on a blanket.
“Bucky, what—”
He chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. “I kinda lied about the barbeque, but I wanted this to be a surprise. And you make me crazy like no other. I swear, that day I saw you stranded on the side of the road, it was love at first sight. What I’m trying to say is, I’m yours, if you’ll have me.”
You tackled him in a hug before crashing your lips against his. He pulled you tighter against him and hummed into the kiss. You both part for air and noticed the tip of his ears were pink.
“Is that a yes?” He asked with a smile.
“Yes, you goof.” You said before pulling him in for another kiss.
Summary: The Winter Soldier takes care of you when you’re sick.
Warnings: None
A/N: I’ve been sick, and I just wanted a Soft!Winter Soldier to hold and take care of me. Is that so much to ask?
It was quiet and dark, like a blanket had settled inside the huge house. Taking careful steps, Winter edged toward the kitchen silently. Opening one of the cabinets, he dropped a few cans of soup into his backpack, along with a couple things of medicine. Moving into the fridge, he tossed a few bottles of water and soda into his bag. He knew it was wrong to steal, but you were sick, and you were always his first priority. Besides, these people were dripping with money. He wouldn’t be stealing if he had money, but when you escape from Hydra, funds tend to be low.
He took a few more things and made his way toward the window. He took one last glance around the house to make sure he left no traces of him, before sneaking out of the house. He made his way toward where you guys were currently staying, which was a rundown abandoned house downtown. As he neared closer to the house, he could hear your painful coughs, and he winced. It sounded like it hurt a lot.
He entered quickly and set his backpack down as he took in your current state. You were shaking and curled up into a ball as another round of coughs forced their way out. Your eyes were rimmed with red, and Winter walked over to you. He pressed his lips to your forehead and sighed when he noticed your fever wasn’t down.
“I got some stuff to make you feel better.” He mumbled as he grabbed his backpack and pulled a few things out.
“W-winter,” You voice was hoarse from all the coughing. “Where did you get all that stuff?”
Shaking his head, he opened one of the medicine bottles. “It doesn’t matter where I got it. You’re what’s important. Now open up.”
You partially sat up and slowly drank some of the medicine he had poured for you before laying back down. “Baby, please tell me you didn’t kill anyone for this stuff. It looks expensive.”
“I didn’t kill anyone, promise. I…I don’t do that anymore.” He said twisting the cap back on as he looked at you fondly. “Would you like some soup?”
You nodded your head just as you broke into another coughing fit. He kissed your forehead and wandered over to the kitchen area to get the stove working. Once he managed that, he grabbed a spare pot from the cabinet and began heating up the soup. He looked at you as you pulled up the thin blanket tighter against you and shivered. He hated seeing you like this, mainly because there was only so much he could do. Your body would just have to fight this off.
The soup finished and he poured some into a bowl. He helped you sit up all the way and he sat on the edge of the bed with the bowl and spoon in his hands. He dipped the spoon in the soup and gently blew on it before holding the spoon to your mouth.
“Winter, baby, you don’t have to feed—” You coughed again, and Winter squeezed his eyes shut.
“Just…just please let me help you. Let me do something good.” He whispered as he lifted the spoon toward you again.
You weakly nodded and let him feed you. He was patient and made sure not to give you too much, or you might throw up. He doesn’t think his heart can bear seeing you like that again. He brought a water bottle to your lips as you sipped it. You needed to stay hydrated. After he screwed the lid back on, he set it on the bedside dresser, along with the soup bowl. Winter gave you some different medicine and checked your temperature again by pressing his lips to your forehead again.
“Seems to be going down.” He whispered against your skin. “That’s good.”
You wrapped your body around him, and he held you tightly. Feeling your body shake with coughs, he rubbed your back soothingly and peppered kisses into your hair.
“I’ve got you.”
Once your body calmed down, he gently laid you on the bed and spooned you from behind.
“You need rest.” He breathed. “I’ll be right here. And I promise, Hydra will never take us away from each other. I…I love you.”
You yawned and reveled in his warmth. “I love you too, Winter. Thank you for taking care of me.”
“No need to thank me. I’ll always care for you. Now rest.”
He held you close as you drifted off. He thought about how one day you two wouldn’t need to run anywhere and he could give you everything you needed. And you would both be happy. He sighed before closing his eyes, images of better days playing in his dreams.
Warnings: Fluff
A/n: A bit longer than usual
Bucky arranged his treats on the table nicely and smiled. He straightened the poster his mom had made, and slightly adjusted some of the cupcakes. His table looked perfect, as per usual. He saw Natasha bring in some cookies and walk over to Steve’s table. His eyes darted around the community center, and he noticed that most of the hockey team had someone with them. Pulling his bottom lip between his teeth, he started to worry. What if you didn’t show up? Then, he would be alone at his bake sale table again. He sat down at his table and watched the door.
Before his thoughts could explode into a nervous frenzy, he saw you enter the community center. He let out a sigh of relief and put on a bright smile. As you got closer, he walked over to you and pulled you into a side hug before leading you over to his table.
“I see you already set up. It looks nice. But our table does look like it has more treats that everyone else.” You said glancing at the other tables.
“Well, I usually get quite a few people at my table. Cheerleading squad tends to be the biggest group.” Bucky said as his ears turned pink. “Anyway, it raises money, so that’s the important thing.”
You nodded and noticed he wasn’t using his crutches. “No crutches?”
Bucky shook his head. “Nope. I talked to Bruce this morning and said I should be fine in just a knee brace, but I have to make sure I do nothing too strenuous.”
“Like nightly activities.”
He rolled his eyes and pulled you into him. “Whatever you say, doll.”
~~~~~
“I gotta use the bathroom, watch the table.” Bucky said giving you a small salute before walking off.
“Dork.” You mumbled as you pulled out your phone to read as you noticed the cheerleaders walk in.
“Is that Y/n?”
“Ew, yeah, I think it is.”
“What is she doing at Bucky’s table?”
You scoffed and looked up from your phone. “You do know I can hear you, right?”
Brittney, the annoying blond and captain of the cheer team, smiled as she and her little goons walked over to the table. “Yes dear, we know. Now, tell what you’re doing at Bucky’s table. You didn’t force him into a relationship, did you?”
You laughed. “Yes, I forced him into a relationship. I held a gun to his head and told him to date me or die.”
Brittney scoffed. “You’re such a loser. Maybe he’s dating you out of pity.”
Before you could say anything, Bucky came back.
“Is there a problem here ladies?” Bucky asked as he sat down by you.
Brittney shook here head and batted her eyelashes at Bucky. “No, we were just getting to know your little helper.”
You glared at Brittney, but tension slowly left your body as he slung an arm over your shoulders. “She’s amazing, right? I decided to let my best girl help me out this time.”
“You’re b-best girl?” Brittney sputtered.
Bucky smiled at you. “Oh yeah. And I’m sorry Brittney, but I think our one-night stand from two years ago should stay that way. I’m not into pompous cheerleaders who can’t keep their inaccurate opinions to themselves.”
Her mouth shut and she huffed. “Whatever. You’ll come running back to me soon enough.” Then flipped her hair and walked away.
“You good?” Bucky asked softly.
You gave him a weak smile. “I’m fine. I‘m used to it by now. And we’re not technically dating yet, you didn’t have to call me your best girl.”
He shrugged. “I want you to be my best girl. Besides, no one deserves to be treated that way.”
“Well, thank you.” You said fiddling with the hem of your shirt.
“Alright, doll. Lemme see a smile.”
You gave him a small smile and he shook his head.
“Come on, doll, I know you can do better than that.” He said as he grabbed your sides and started to tickle you.
“O-okay! S-stop!” You said between laughs. “B-bucky. I-I surrender!”
He stopped and smiled as you smiled back at him. “There we go, beautiful. Now, let’s keep that smile for the rest of the day.”
~~~~~
Bucky gnawed on the end of his pencil as he waited for the professor to hand back their quizzes. He had done extra study sessions with you and even studied more with Steve so he could take you ice skating. Steve got his quiz back and gave Bucky a thumbs up as he flashed his quiz that had a 100% scribbled on the top. Show off. He was snapped out of his nervous frenzy when his professor’s voice sounded.
“Barnes. A word, please.”
Bucky gulped and walked over to the Professor’s desk. Prof. Ernest took off his glasses and sighed. Uh no, not good. He looked at Bucky and back at Bucky’s quiz in his hand.
“I’ve seen incredible improvement in your work, Mr. Barnes. Congratulations on getting a perfect score on your quiz.” Prof. Ernest said as he handed Bucky his quiz.
Bucky’s face lit up as his eyes scanned the paper and relief swept over him. He couldn’t wait to show you. He had been waiting all week to take you out and now he finally could. After class, with a skip in his step, he went to your dorm.
“You’re happy.” You said as you answered the door.
He had a cocky smirk on his face as he pulled out his quiz. “100%. Looks like we’re going skating tonight, doll.”
You took the paper from his hands and hummed. “Wow, I’m impressed. And I guess we’re going skating.”
~~~~~
“I need more padding.” You demanded as you looked at the ice.
Bucky laughed. “Doll, you’re wearing all my equipment. I’m sure you’re fine.”
“I’m scared. I don’t want to do this anymore.” You said as you slowly stepped away from the rink.
Bucky gently tapped on the helmet you were wearing and smiled at you softly. “Hey, it’s okay to be scared, but I’m going to be right here, and I’m not going to let you fall, okay?”
“Promise?” You whispered out.
“Promise.” He said grabbing your hand. “Now let’s show the ice who’s boss.”
You practically clung to Bucky as you finally got onto the ice. You let out a small squeak as your skates threatened to slide out from under you. Bucky held you steady, though, and stated nice affirmations.
“Doing great, doll. Now let’s see if we can get you to move around the ice a little instead of you standing like a statue.”
“If I move, I’m pretty sure I’m going to die.”
He let out a light laugh and squeezed your hand. “You’re not gonna die. Let’s start nice and slow.”
He started to move forward slightly, gently pulling you with him. You struggled to stay upright, but you managed to move forward. Bucky moved a bit more and you followed a bit easier. After a little bit more practice and Bucky going a little faster, you smiled.
“Hey, this is kinda fun.” You breathed.
“Told ya, doll. Now, I’m gonna let go of you now.” He said as you tightened your grip on him.
“Don’t you dare.” You said narrowing your eyes.
“I’m kidding.” He chuckled. “No need to squeeze my hand so tight.”
Eventually, you got enough confidence to let go of Bucky and skate a little. He stayed beside you to make sure you didn’t fall, a bright smile on his face, his eyes crinkling in watching you find confidence. You didn’t quite know how to stop yet, so he pulled your back into him before you crashed into the wall. He turned you toward him and placed his hands on the side of your, well his, helmet. You stared into his bright blue eyes as he softly took the helmet off your head. Your breath hitched as he licked his lips before cupping the side of your face.
“Can I kiss you, doll?” He whispered as if he were afraid to pop the intimate bubble.
You could only manage to nod your head, and he dove in for the kiss. A soft sigh escaping him as your lips connected. You tangled your fingers into his silky hair as you pulled him closer. In the cold of the rink, you could only feel a consuming heat all over your body. As you both parted for breath, you noticed his cheeks were slightly pink and he had a dopey grin on his face.
“You really are amazing, doll.”
“BARNES!”
You and Bucky both whipped your heads toward the booming voice. Coach Fury was standing near the door, and Bucky could feel his face flush.
“I said no being in the rink after 10:30.” Fury said with a sigh. “You and your girlfriend, out, now.”
“Y-yes Coach!” Bucky stuttered before Fury walked out.
You and Bucky quietly laughed as you both exited the rink. Bucky helped you out of his gear and kissed your forehead. He was so in love with you, it hurt.

A/n: Last Chapter!!! Thank you all for your love and support! I loved writing this for ya’ll!
Bucky wrapped tape around his hockey stick carefully as his mind was racing. Championships. It was the first round today and his first game back on the ice since his injury. He was now fully healed and ready to bring his A game. He was knocked out of his thoughts when Peter spoke.
“Bucky, your girlfriend came to see you.”
A smile formed on Bucky’s face. Yeah, girlfriend. You guys had made it official a week ago and Bucky couldn’t be happier. “Send her in.”
A minute later you were walking in, and Bucky walked up to you and gave you a bone crushing hug. He loosened his grip and began to pepper kisses along your face as you giggled.
“Bucky!” You laughed. “Bucky, stop for just one second.”
He sighed and paused his kisses and thumbed the jersey you were wearing. “Sorry, doll, you just look so good wearing my jersey.”
“Well, I gotta let everyone know who’s got my heart.” You said as you looked at you softly.
“And you have mine.” He whispered before pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Now, did you need to tell me something, babydoll?”
“Just wanted to wish my handsome hockey player good luck.” You said tucking some hair behind his ear.
“I don’t need it, I got you.” He hummed before giving you a proper kiss on the lips.
“PDA BUCKY! P! D! A!” Sam said before gagging.
Bucky rolled his eyes. “You’re just jealous, Sam.”
“I should probably get to my seat.” You said as you gave Bucky one last hug.
“Alright, doll.” He said as he released you. “I’ll light the lamp for you a couple times.”
“Okay, Bucky.” You said patting his shoulder pad before calling out to the rest of the team. “Good luck, guys!”
“Thanks Y/n!” They responded in unison.
You exited the locker room and met up with Zemo before going to your seats. You had finally convinced him to go to a hockey game, which worked perfectly with your plan because Natasha was bringing Wanda and you knew Zemo had been crushing on her for a while.
“Just so you know, I take full credit for you and Barnes getting together.” Zemo said as he shivered.
“Mmm, I don’t know…”
“You said it yourself that was jealous of me.”
“That’s what he told me, at first anyway. I still think we would have gotten together either way.” You retorted.
“Let me have this!” Zemo exclaimed before shivering again. “And why is it so cold in here?!”
You laughed. “I told you to bring a blanket.”
“This is why I don’t go to hockey games.” He mumbled before Wanda sat beside him.
“Hey Zemo.” She said with a smile.
His cheeks tinted pink slightly and he gave her a small wave. “Hi Wanda.”
You and Natasha shared a knowing look as Zemo and Wanda talked. The crowd soon started to scream, signaling that the hockey players were coming out. And once Bucky spotted you, he waved at you with a wink before starting his warmup. He was so adorable.
~~~~~
John Walker, one of the opposing team’s best players, went to smash Bucky against the boards, but Bucky was quick and moved out of the way just in time before passing the puck to Sam. Sam and Steve passed it back to each other a few times before Sam made the shot, lighting the lamp and causing the crowd to cheer.
Bucky was able to take the puck from Lemar Hoskins, before slapping the puck directly into the goal. The crowd went crazy and Bucky pointed his stick at you before blowing you a kiss. Your face burned and Zemo nudged you.
“I think that point was meant for you.” Zemo chuckled.
“Thanks Zemo.” You said before playfully rolling your eyes.
“A beautiful snipe by Barnes!” The announcer called. “Glad to see the Winter Soldier back on the ice!”
Bucky continued the game in an excited manner. He facewashed John Walker, assisted in quite a few plays and scored the last goal before the timer beeped. The crowd was going wild and you rushed down to go see Bucky. It was a bit difficult because his fans were very enthusiastic, but you managed to weave in-between them and get to Bucky.
“Babydoll!” He exclaimed before leaning down to kiss you. “Did you see those points I made for you?”
You laughed. “Yes, that and the whole stadium.”
He smiled and kissed you again. “Gotta let everyone know who I’m playing for. Besides, I saw Walker checking you out, I had to show him you’re mine.”
You patted his chest. “I’m pretty sure he looked at me like once for two seconds.”
He pulled you closer to him and huffed. “Yeah, well, two seconds too long.”
“What do you say we get out of here and celebrate?”
Bucky’s eyes lit up and he pressed a kiss to your forehead. “As long as I’m with you, babydoll.”
