CravaThursday. -- Some days you just feel for a more casual look to be appropriate and even though I really enjoy wearing ties there is still a more casual me. Today is such a day and I went for a simple combo that works pretty well by adding a cravat to a v-neck jumper, shirt and a corduroy sports coat. This look works for the office but also gives you an idea on what I wear at weekends for example.. What’s your thought about cravats? All you need is cord… -- Well at least sometimes. For today I went for a casual, tieless, dressed down look. One thing I really dig about corduroy is that you dress it up or down whatever is needed. It always completes a look without effort and I think that a tie is not being missed too much - an open collar, cashmere V-Neck and some colour variety as choice of the day is working for me. Thursday tweed... — Valentine’s Day - well ok then... Anyway: Went for a combo with a herringbone tweed jacket, some corduroy and some knitted tie. The shirt (which is one l bought 2011 in CT‘s Regent Street store) comes in a colour that was called ”Chinese“ blue - shame they call it mid blue or something like this these days - l found the old description more flamboyant. Celer et Audax – Swift and bold… — The motto of the „Royal Green Jackets“ of which I’m wearing this regimental tie today. To be honest the times when I was fast are over I assume and if boldness is meant then in a different way for sure. However I do like this tie and therefore I just have chosen it for today’s outfit.
