How to make Lollipop Sticks
INGREDIENTS
Lollipop Molds Nonstick cooking spray Lollipop sticks 1 Cup Sugar 1/2 Cup Light corn syrup 1/4 Cup Water 1 1/2 Teaspoons extract(Vanilla, mint, cinnamon, coconut, etc.) Optional: Food coloring
RECIPE
1. Prepare your lollipop mold by spray by spraying them lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Wipe out the inside with a paper towel, so that only the thinnest layer of oil remains.
2. Insert the lollipop sticks into the molds.
3. Combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
4. Stir until the sugar dissolves, and brush down the sides of the pan with a wet pastry brush.
5. Once boiling, insert a candy thermometer. Allow mixture to boil without stirring until candy reaches 300 F (149 C). This is called the hard-crack stage.
6. Remove the saucepan from heat. Allow it to sit until it stops bubbling completely. Stir in the extract of your choice and, if desired, food coloring.
7. Spoon the candy into the mold cavities, making sure to cover the back of the stick.
8. Cool completely and remove the lollipops once hardened, about 10 minutes or so. Enjoy!
How to make Naporitan Spaghetti
INGREDIENTS: 7 oz Spaghetti(200g) 1 clove Garlic 1/4 ~ 1/2 Onion 6 Sausages(I use Japanese kurobuta(black pork) sausages, but you can use 2 italian sausages, hams, bacon, etc.) 1 bell pepper 4-6 Mushrooms 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 Tbsp Milk 2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese(Freshly ground)
Sauce: 4 Tbsp Ketchup 1 tsp Worcestershire Sause 1/4 tsp Sugar(Optional) Kosher / Sea Salt(I use Diamond Crystal; Use half for table salt) Freshly Ground Black Pepper INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Gather all the ingredients.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
3. Meanwhile, mince the garlic clove and slice onion, sausages, bell pepper, and mushrooms.
4. In a large skillet or saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute, just until golden and fragrant.
5. Add the onions to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
6. When the onions are wilted, add the sausages and sauté for 1 minute.
7. Add the bell peppers and mushrooms and sauté until everything is cooked.
8. Add the Sauce ingredients: Ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar(optional). When the cause thickens, add the pasta cooking water. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. As soon as the pasta is cooked and drained, add to the pan and toss to combine using tongs.
10. Add the milk and Parmesan cheese and toss to combine. Serve immediately in warmed plates.
