hiii! i just stumbled upon your page, and i've fallen in love. the thing i am curious about is that, i am a high school student next year, and i want to start new, and ace those subjects i will be taking. but what i am most curious about is that, while youre in class, you write notes down on one notebook, and it tends to be messy, but then do you get another notebook for all the revision, or do you just open a new page and write down all the new notes? thank you :3
Ahh thanks ok so from the two years of high school experience that I have, this is generally my routine:
for science, I read the textbook and make an outline (either type or handwrite on graph paper) as I learn it. I usually try to make it neat but it’s not important for the first set of notes. A few days before a test, I’ll make really elaborate or colourful maps/notes with all the concepts condensed into one page. I have all of my science notes in one notebook.
for french, I just take notes as my teacher teaches the class (language is generally a less structured class so my notes aren’t very organized) and I’ll just rewrite the notes in a neater way in a different notebook.
for history, I usually read the textbook and type an outline. i used to also make really colourful notes for this, but this year I didn’t do that because APUSH is a chapter a week so it’s just too much content and the notes take up too much time.
for math, i copy down the notes as neat as I can during class and rewrite them and colour code them in a separate notebook a few days before a test.
for english, i usually make character maps and just rewrite notes in a separate notebook.
