Hakan was born to a very wealthy family in Istanbul, Turkey. His family quite literally had global wealth and the majority of Hakan’s childhood was spent traveling to holiday homes.
He was mostly raised by Nanny’s or staff and he was home schooled until he was 13 and demanded to live in Lockwood Springs, as it was his favorite to visit as he got older.
He attended Walcott and began referring to Lockwood Springs as his hometown as it’s the only place where he experienced stability and routine.
When he was eighteen he went to college to study law but it wasn’t really needed, he was always going to be okay financially and overtake family businesses.
At twenty one, the business baton was passed over and Hakan learned that his family had always been linked closely to the cartel. He didn’t really care, and was happy to continue working with them. He values money and power quite a lot.
He has continued investing in Lockwood Springs and has traveled back and forth to the hometown frequently. He ended up in a whirlwind romance with Aiyla Avci, and they were very quickly engaged.
Their engagement only lasted a year but they were planning one of the most beautiful weddings until Aiyla decided she didn’t want it to go ahead.
Hakan refused to visit Lockwood Springs for two years because of this but is recently returned at the cartel’s request.
He’s been sent to oversee The Keepers and to try and work out why their money has been less recently, but he really doesn’t want to be here.
Hakan 2.0 is very selfish and demanding. He expects everything to go his own way, and could be seen like a gigantic spoiled brat.
He’s very intense and possessive. A lot of his relationship with Aiyla included whisking her away to private islands or vacations, because he preferred to have her all to himself.
He’s deluded and thinks his personality is acceptable. Is easily blinded by things like jealousy.
