Let's go! 👌🏽🏉🇳🇿🌀#haka #rugby #hakaworkshop #maori #allblacks
Performance wise, we can cater for any sized group! Here's proof; I was fortunate enough to be part of the #Haka UK performance for Atea who have an employee base of over 2000; the largest IT company in Scandinavia. Truly blessed to be part of something bigger than just performing a Haka for people; but to promote our culture, spread #TeReo and teaching Kotahitanga - Everybody moving together as one, with a view of their common purpose, really does make me sit back and think, Life really is great! #maori #hakaworkshop #rugby #atea #newzealand #Sweden #bosön (at Stockholm, Sweden)
The art of blowing a conch shell
Practice your art until you find it as easy as breathing... Because there's nothing more embarrassing than not being able to blow your #Conch on queue! Which is, clearly, EXACTLY what happened to me.
Last Tuesday 29th of August, I performed solo at a Moot, which is a Pagan meet up group, in Rochester, Kent UK.
It didn't start the best, considering the failure to blow the conch on demand, but ended up a great night.
Very different to the usual workshops I'd run but better in other ways.
I got to speak about our culture in depth with the attendees and we held a question and answers session at the end, as the rain was not willing to play ball.
All in all, was a great night and I got to show my culture off to the world again; which is always the goal!
Kia Ora! :)
