A/N: So this is a bit of a dark fic, but I wanted to get out some emotions and feelings, back in April, my back completely gave out on me, and I don’t know what had caused it, so I wrote down my own thoughts and feelings during the process... just adding another person to it also.
Warnings: Angst, reader is in pain, dark thoughts, detailed description.

You were just doing the most simplest task when you had felt a pressure starting to form in your lower back, but you didn’t think much of it, you continued on with your day, but you should have known something was wrong. He stepped into the house you both shared and paused, something was wrong, something was off, he could feel it in the air, he puts his keys down and begins removing his jacket, that’s when he heard your footsteps slowly shuffling towards the door.
“Hi, I’m Ho-” He pauses his words as he turns his head towards you, finding you leaned against the wall and sadness mixed in with panic in your eyes, you give him a small smile, it barely even showed a smile. He quickly rushes towards you and wraps his arm around your waist, making you gasp, which only causes him to take a step back. “What’s wrong?” The panic and concern in his voice made you feel so guilty and like such a burden already.
“My back…” You whisper. “I’m okay…” You try to play it off, but he knew better.
“It’s not okay, you can barely walk,” He says, he carefully wraps his arm around you and helps you towards the couch, your legs nearly buckling beneath you on the way. “What’s wrong, what happened?” He carefully sits you down on the couch before standing in front of you.
“I was just… making the bed when I felt a pain, but it wasn’t bad,” You say. “I then laid down for a minute and I moved to sit…” You sniff, the pain vivid in your memory. “It was so painful, my legs feel like they can’t support me,” Tears were brimming in your eyes as you told him. “It feels like everything in my lower back is pressing down on me, crushing everything, or it feels like it is.”
“We need to get you to the hospital,” He says, about to move away, you quickly grab his hand, wincing in pain as you do.
“No… no, it’s okay, we can go see the doctor tomorrow,” You say. “Please… we can’t make this trip tonight, it's already late,” You watch as he looks at you, unsure what to say. “Please, it’s fine, it’s okay, I can survive the night,” But mentally you weren’t, the pain was eating at you, and you were worried you would wake up, and you would never be able to walk again. “Please… let’s just go get ready for bed.”
“Y/n…” He sighs out, placing his other hand on top of yours. “You’re hurt, you don’t know how this happened?” You shake your head, feeling a lump in your throat forming.
“I don’t know… I’m sorry,” You say, he quickly leans down and carefully wraps his arms around you.
“No, no, you don’t get to say sorry for something you have no control over,” He says. “I’m sure they’ll be able to help you even if you don’t know what caused it,” His hand comfortingly rubs over your back in circles. “Let’s just go to the emergency room, I’m worried.”
“No, no, please… we can go see the doctor tomorrow and get answers,” You say. “I don’t want to go right now, please,” He slowly pulls his head back from your shoulder and looks at you, seeing your pleading eyes. “Please… I just want to go lay down and sleep,” As much as he wanted to keep arguing with you, he knew it wouldn’t help. “Please…” You whisper.
“Okay… I’ll make an appointment first thing in the morning,” He says. “Now come on, let me help you to bed,” He stands up and carefully wraps his arm around you and helps you stand again, he could feel just how unstable you were as you wobbled in his arms. Slowly you make your way to your bedroom, and he sits you down on the bed, the concern not once leaving his eyes.
Your heart was racing, it felt like your body was just betraying you, you wanted to cry, wanted to scream, but what would that help you? It wouldn’t make it better, your breathing was shallow as you tried to control your emotions.
“I’m just going to go change, I’ll be right back,” He says, you nod your head and watch as he gathers his clothes before going to the bathroom. You slowly put your feet onto the bed, wincing as you felt a painful feeling shoot up your spine. You could feel a tear slipping down your cheek as you slowly lay down on the bed, you turn onto your side, letting out a shaky breath.
He exits the bathroom and stops as he looks at you, your body was shaking slightly as you were silently sobbing, his heartbreaking at the sight, he makes his way to the bed and climbs onto it behind you, slowly wrapping his arms around you, your back was pressed to his front, and he presses his head against the spot between your shoulder blades.
“It’s okay… I’m here, I’m here,” He whispers, and that’s when you completely lost it, loud sobs rack from your body, and with each sob, your back was in pain, every movement you were making, was causing the pain to be consistent. He hated seeing you like this, seeing you in such agonising pain, and he couldn’t do anything about it. It was about to be the longest night of both of your lives, as you laid awake in pain while he was concerned about you, his mind racing and refusing to shut down.
“d-o-l-l-h-o-u-s-e i see things that nobody else sees”
creaking steps late at night are common in this old house. you had long since become used to the red hand prints on the wallpaper.
no one else ever seemed to notice, until it was their blood on the floor that is. you always kept quiet, after all, you knew he wouldn’t harm you.
after all, it was thanks to you he had an endless supply of victims.
you held the small doll, cradled him to your chest, as you wandered the walls barefoot. you had heard voices from the sitting room, horrible people with their screaming radios and demanding voices.
“is anyone here with us?” “who are you?” “what’s your name?” you’d heard all their demands before.
honestly, if they really wanted to speak to someone, maybe they should just speak to you like a normal person, rather then trying to shove that horrible skipping radio in your face.
you cuddled your doll closer, glaring at the men from the doorway. they wanted a show, some cheep spooks. that’s all them and their cameras wanted.
well, you looked down to the doll in your arms, might as well have a little fun?
you ran your nails along the walls, causing several of the men to jump. you let out a small giggle, nearly making one of them scream as they scrambled with their cameras.
you places your doll down along the back wall, carefully wandering around the room till you stood in the doorway.
you let out a fake sniffle, pretending to wipe tears from your eyes.
“peek-a-boo?” your voice wavered, like that of a feightened child. all of the men turned to stare at your in horror and awe.
“peek-a-boo.” another voice answered yours from behind the men. they all whipped around in horror as a scream ripped through the back of their party.
one of the men fell to the floor, sputtering blood. you smiled as you saw your doll, now a full grown, lifesize man, standing behind the ghost hunters, his shirt covered in the dead man’s blood.

if you listened close enough, you can still hear the blood drip onto the splintered floorboards.
at least, she can.
the old hotel creaked and ground around her. she could smell the sent of years past. all the business meetings, whispered affairs, the smoke and the broken needles, and the blood. so much blood.
deaths in hotels are very common. sometimes old people just pass away, some people chose to commit suicide and leave the mess to someone else, and others... crave the blood themselves.
not everyone saw the world quite the same. not everyone saw human life quite the same. not everyone cared.
she knew many lost spirits who wandered the hotel’s halls. from the covens who whispered their chants, to the businessmen with their briefcases of needles.
the most curious spirit however, was also the most dangerous.
he had madness on his lips and blood dripping from his fingertips. how many of the other spirits here had been trapped by his hand? there was no way to tell.
but it had seemed, that he’d taken a shining to her.
~
“getting lost again, little girl?” she could tell his silver tongue the moment he spoke.
“i am not lost if i know where i am.” she replied simply.
“but... the other’s don’t.” she could hear the devilish smirk on his lips.
“just because someone else doesn’t know where i am, doesn’t mean i am lost.” she sighed.
“touche my darling.” he purred. she felt the cool chill of his presence slink off to a room at the end of the hall. room 217.
she continued walking, trying her best to ignore the chill she left down her spine. for years she brushed it off as just the fear and anxiety that clouded her mind at his presence. but as time has gone on, a part of her wonders if perhaps the racing of her heart was caused by something else.
but another part of her remembers, how this place... this mountain... slowly drives everyone who resides here... insane.
she could feel it sometimes, the madness in the silence.
it had invaded her and she had already lost.
~
she hadn’t realised, but she found herself standing in room 217. his favorite hiding spot.
“it’s getting to you too, isn’t it?” she turned over her shoulder at the sound of his teasing tone. he leaned back against the now closed door. he looked the same as he always did.
caramel skin glowed in the low light of the room, his eyes like deep murky water, and just as a sinkhole, madness and hunger hid in the pools. his once pristine white clothing, stained over his chest. the place where his heart had once been.
before she stole it away that is.
“where is it?” his voice was a quiet command.
“gone.” she replied coolly. without a moment's hesitation, he grabbed her and shoved her against the wall, pinning her there and growling deep in his throat.
“where. is. it.” with every word she saw the madness sink deeping into his skin.
“gone.” she replied again, a smirk playing on her lips. he grabbed her chin, shoving her head harshly against the wall.
“where-” he halted mid sentence. he forced her mouth open. she complied, continuing to smirk as she stuck her tongue out, the red staining still visible on the muscle. “...you ghoul.”
he shoved her away, causing her to stumble to the ground. his eyes glowed with insanity as he slowly stalked her.
“first, you seduce me, then, you steal my heart, and last, you ate it, didn’t you?” he continued to stalk her as she crawled backwards towards the bed, away from him. “and you claim i was the one to kill all those innocent people...” he tisks.
“you did kill them, i just... disposed of them.” she quickly dashed to her feet, but before she could bolt for the door, he shoved her back again, this time landing on the mattress.
“oh no, if you stole my heart, it’s only fair that i have yours.”
~
his hands were warm and sticky with blood. her blood. it stained her skin crimson. the aching in her chest was a new feeling she wasn’t used to.
“H-Hakyeon... it hurts...” she whined.
“now you know how i felt darling~” he purred against her neck.
“...Hakyeon... please... just get it over with...” she whimpered and quivered under him.
“oh no sweetheart... i think i’m going to pull this out as long as possible.” he shushed her softly, petting her hair.
her mind was clouded. his hands running up her sides, his hips pressed to hers, his mouth at her neck trailing down to her chest. she felt the cool touch of a scalpel. she whimpered again.
“Hakyeon-” her whines were interrupted by a yelp of pain.
he took his sweet time. when she started to protest more, he bound her wrists and ankles, leaving her truly, at his mercy. something he was lacking tonight.
she felt every slice, ever burn of the blade, evey lick of his tongue on her wounds. every drop of blood that leaked from her flesh. he was hungry, so hungry. but only for her.
sumery: there is a rhythm in all living things. if you listen, you can feel it’s hum.
warnings: extreamly short drabble. (not spell checked)
there is a hum. as we grow older, we tune it out, like the ticking of a clock. but there are some, some who can still hear it. the hum of reality. the rhythm of all things, living, and dead. others still can feel it, the vibrations buzz in the air like a bass drum. the hum of reality.
(y/n) has always been able to hear and feel the hum. she has trained herself, in ways to interpret it, and to munipulate it. simple movemelts, with targeted purpous, create waves of vibration though the air. with these movements, (y/n) can manipulate many things. she can create sparks with the smallest twitch of her fingers. she can pull water from the air around her with only a click of her tougue. and she can sense other inhuman beings around her.
they are drawn to her. their humming, the humming of nonliving creatures, are always distinktive. his hum, had followed her for years. he had taught her how to listen. how to feel. he was the reason she could do the things she could.
he never told her a name, simply one single letter, N.
he would come to her in her dreams, in the form of a young man, and there he would teach her. he never aged, never changed, always the same. tonight was no different.
“(y/n).” she opened her eyes. he stood above her. his dark eyes looking down upon her. “i have something i want to teach you.” he offered her his hand, and she took it, standing up.
“what is it?” she asked. he did not release her hand, and lead her away a few steps. they stood in what apeared to be a dark room.
“i have taught you how to hear the rhythm, how to feel it, and how to munipulate it. but tonight, i want to teach you how to harmonize with it.” he pulled her forwards, standing face to face with her. “you have grown well, (y/n). no longer a little girl, now a young woman. and every young woman should know how it dance.” he pulled her closer, placing one of his hands on her waist. she placed her other hand on his shoulder, curious to see what he would do. he smiled.
“tonight, i will teach you how to dance to the beat of reality.” and with that, he began moving. she followed perfectly. he began slow, guiding her along gentaly, leading her in small cuircals. after a bit, he began to pick up his pace. it wasn’t long untill the pair were waltzing in perfect harmony. the hum the eminated from both of them, blended into a spellbinding melody.
(y/n) closed her eyes and relaxed, fully trusting him, and alowing him to lead her.
“do you feel it, my love?” his voice was soft.
“yes. i feel it.” she confirmed.
“do you feel us? our melody?” he purred in her ear.
“...yes...” she tilted her head back, compleatly relaxed in his hold. he chuckled.
“fall into me, my love.” he pulled her closer, and she rested his head on his shoulder and chest. she began to fall sleep, lulled away by the rhythm of them.
Requesting for the drabble game my beloved Hakyeonnie and number 21! <3
Bleed Out by Jason Derulo
Hakyeon waits until everyone else has left to come out ofthe practice room. He quietly walks into the dance studio and flicks on thelights, then the stereo. He doesn’t care what the song is. He just dances. Yet eventhe music that takes charge of him limbs can’t stop the earlier conversation hehad with you from plaguing him.
He remembers searching your eyes for the warm-hearted personhe loved. He couldn’t find her. You had replaced her with a cold-heartedsomeone. How else could you have ever suggested the time had come for the twoof you to go your separate ways?
He tried to be the responsible, level-headed one. “I know Iwasn’t perfect, but I can be better. We don’t have to end it.”
“Yes, we do,” you had replied. Your fingers plucked at the sleevesof the coat you hadn’t bothered taking off. It was one he’d bought you after noticingyou eyeing it in a store window. “I’m sorry, Hakyeon, but I don’t feel the sameway.”
“Why?”
You had shrugged. “I just don’t. I’d rather end it here thankeep stringing you along and hurt you more.”
The only way you could hurt him more would be by putting agun to his heart and pulling the trigger. It would have been less painful.
He saw your mind was made up. He wanted to sink to hisknees, beg for one more chance. He could make you love him again if he really tried. He wanted to believe there was still an ember of love for him somewhere insideyou. But there was nothing else to say. You had made up your mind.
Why didn’t he try to change it? Why did he just let you walkout that door and out of his life when he can’t live without you?
Hakyeon’s scream of agony drowns out the music as the painfinally hits. He falls, his hands scraping across the wood floor. By some illluck, his left palm catches a splinter. Hakyeon holds his hand against hischest, watching at blood wells around the splinter and surrounding scratches. Tearssplatter on his palm, turning the bright red to watery pink.
Curled on the floor and surrounded by music, Hakyeon cries. Because the pain in his hand is easier to dwell on than the breaking of his heart. He doesn’t hear Taekwoon slip inside the room, turn off the stereo, and rummagearound the small storage container beneath it. He barely feels his friend sitdown beside him, but Taekwoon is patient. He waits until Hakyeon’s sobs reducethemselves to sniffles.
“What happened?” Taekwoon asks, pulling Hakyeon’s hand intohis to wipe it clean.
Hakyeon’s eyes are empty when he at last meets Taekwoon’s.
Summary: Your plans of visiting N for a week are altered when he comes down with the flu, and you decide to devote your vacation to helping him get better.
Type: Fluff
A/N: I’m so sorry I’ve been gone for so long, the writers block was strong and everything I wrote just didn’t sound right. But I somehow found time in my hectic life to have a great boyfriend who provides tons of inspiration for new writing ideas. Lots more writing to come! Thanks for hanging in there!
----
“Everyone up! Y/N is going to be here in two and a half hours! Clean this place up! Let’s go let’s go!” N shouted, clapping his hands through out the dorm. Hyuk groaned. They spent all day yesterday cleaning. He loved it whenever you came to visit but Hakyeon could go a little extreme with the near OCD cleanliness. “Hyung. We cleaned yesterday.” N put his hands on his hips and leaned over the tired maknae. “And you dirty kids made it messy again. Clean!”
It was always difficult seeing your boyfriend. You met him overseas when they took a short vacation and he walked into the store you worked at. With hilarious attempts at flirting, he won you over almost immediately. Yet, with him being famous in Korea and you being...well...normal, had its downfalls. like seeing each other. You refused to let him pay to fly you out to see him, saying he needed the money to spoil his kids (mainly Taekwoon) and to spoil his biological kids when he has them (and he’d always say from you). Lately, your life has been getting stressful, as it usually did with cold weather. School, work, and just in general being an adult was difficult, so you agreed to let Hakyeon fly you out to be with him for a week. But only a week, and you would cook dinner for them at least once. You secretly hated it when he spent money on you, it made you feel clingy in a way, but sometimes, you didn’t mind it.
Hakyeon was completely, irrevocably, incredibly in love with you. He needed you. He’s tried for a year to get you out to visit him again, and when you agreed, he was over the moon. He spent three days hurrying to finish their new song they would be performing next month, then spent the rest of the week with his members cleaning their dorm from top to bottom, almost repeatedly. He just wanted everything to be perfect, and he wanted you to like him. He thought he was handsome, not Lee Min Ho handsome, but enough to win you over, he thought. What if you were apart for too long, and you wouldn’t recognize him? His hair is different now, what if you didn’t like it? What if you realized you didn’t like him? What ifs streamed through N’s mind and out his ears. When he felt a hand on his shoulder, he jumped. a very tired Ken took a step back. “Are you okay man?” N swallowed a lump in his throat. “I’m not feeling very well.” The leader admitted. Ken nodded. “You look really really pale, I think you should sit down.” N allowed the vocalist to lead him to the couch and sat down with him, hand still on his shoulder. “Hyung, I think you might have a fever...” He quietly commented. N jumped up from the couch shakily. “I can’t, this week needs to be perfect!” With that, he raced into the bathroom and emptied the contents of his stomach from dinner last night. Maybe not as perfect as he thought.
You had planned this whole reunion out in your mind, with Hakyeon in the airport, and you weren’t going to lie, getting picked up by Ken and Leo wasn’t your ideal fantasy. You still hugged them nonetheless and allowed them to take your bags. You had a soft spot for Leo, he looked to you as one of his sisters and he would ask you for advice occasionally when he wanted to talk to a girl. Ken had loaded the bags into the van and hopped into the driver’s seat. You were shotgun, and Leo was silently hunched in the back. “The rest of us are back at the dorm waiting. I should warn you though, N hyung has the flu or something.” Ken rambled. “The flu? How bad?” You asked, worry settling in your stomach. “Pretty bad. When we left, our manager had to forcefully put him to bed, because he was going crazy about you coming.” You looked at your hands in your lap, a blush creeping up your face. “Can we go to a convenience store?” You asked, an idea popping into your head. Ken looked at you from the side of his eyes. “I get it. Yeah, no problem.”
You texted Hakyeon that you made it alright and you would be there soon, but he hadn’t read it, which was good. He overworked himself often and he needed rest. Ken warned the others via text to be quiet and not disturb Hakyeon when you arrived, and they all agreed. You entered the apartment as silently as possible, never saying above a whisper. Leo won the quiet game, by existing almost like a shadow behind you, willing to help silently in the kitchen. Ravi and Hyuk all wished to help, Hongbin was gone, filming for the evening, and Ken was keeping watch for Hakyeon. With Hyuk, Ravi, and Leo’s help, you prepared a classic chicken noodle soup, with fresh bread you bought from a cafe on the way there. Cooking in a different kitchen than what you were used to was a little nerve-wracking, but manageable with their help. With a bowl set aside in the fridge for Hongbin, the others fed, and a bowl for Hakyeon, you were ready to go see him. Jet lag was settling into your bones and you wanted nothing ore than to curl up on the kitchen floor and sleep, but VIXX was like your family, and you wanted to spend time with them as much as possible. You took the bowl of soup and silently crept into the room Hakyeon was passed out in. His thin form was barely a ghost in the dark room, but you could see the ruins of a war against sickness scattered around him. Medicine, tissues, a trash can, and water bottles lay scattered around him. You set the bowl on a small table near him and crawled down onto his mat. He didn’t even stir. You gently felt his forehead, blazing with fever. “Hakyeon? Baby?” He sniffed and rolled his head to the other side away from you. Laying down next to him and throwing your arm across his chest, you whispered his name into his ear. He twitched, startling you. “What the...Y/N?” He croaked. “Mmm?” You hummed. “Y/N?” You nodded. “That’s me.” He stared at you, gently brushing his cold fingers against your cheek. “You made it.” You nodded again. “Yes I did. And I made you soup. For when you’re feeling up to it.” He sat up, taking you with him into a strong hug. You tangled your hands in his hair, feeling the rise and fall of his chest against yours. His fingers traced absent shapes on your back. “How are you feeling?” You whispered. “Terrible.” He whispered back. “Would you want to go back to sleep?” He nodded, already laying back down. “I’ll be outside when you wake up.” You whispered. Before you could leave, however, he grabbed your wrist, shaking his head. “Stay.” You nodded, crawling under the comforter with him, allowing him to lay his head on your chest right under your chin. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”
He was already asleep.
You pressed an awkward kiss to his hairline. “I love you Hakyeon. Feel better.”
Even though he was fast asleep, he hugged you tighter, a soft smile gracing his lips.
6 and 16 with the handsome Cha Hakyeon please? :D I love horror movies and I always think of how it would be watching a movie with him hehe. Awesome blog, I've been following you for a while. Fav blog so far, lots of love 😸♡
#5 – “I heard a noise”#6 – “Scary movies arefor chumps”#16 – “Cry me a river” “Scary movies are for chumps!” You mocked your boyfriend,Hakyeon. He had said that exact phrase about 3 hours ago so you challenged himto watch your favorite scary movie, It,with you. He has never been a big fan of scary movies; usually he ended uphiding his face in your neck. But he was adorable when he did, so you reallydidn’t mind. You knew he was scared, but he didn’t want you to know thistime around. Every time “it” showed up, he tried to play off closing his eyesbut you knew him better than that. “I heard a noise” he mumbled after one particularly scarypart. You laughed and held him in your arms. “Babe, we can turn this off if you don’t want to finish. Itreally isn’t a big—“ “AAHHHHHHH!!!!” A scream from Hakyeon interrupted what youhad been saying. You looked down and saw a finger reaching out and gentlybrushing the sole of his bare foot. “What the—“ you thought as he squirmed up from the tanglethat was now your bodies and off the couch. When you could get a better look, you saw a figure crouchingbehind the arm of the couch. It was one of your friends, Hyuk, who must havelet himself in the apartment while you watched the movie. “I hate you, Hyuk!” Hakyeon screamed at his friend as youtried not to laugh. Hyuk practically lived for trying to scare Hakyeon. “Cry me a river” Hyuk retorted as he laughed his way backout of your apartment.A/N - Thanks for the love! 5 was also added to the prompt per @hoseokisbliss request!*Drabble game requests are now closed*
