in my head hal retained some aspects from parallax and the spectre

instead of rows of sharp teeth, his canines are sharper.

he was always kind of good at psychological manipulation and messing with people's minds, but now he can see people's fear like a pulse running through them. people want to confess their deepest fears and their sins to him. and with sinestro's training, it's a struggle for him to remain ethical (and compassionate).

sometimes hal feels the pieces of himself floating away and needs someone to ground him.

i like to think sometimes his green energy turns to flames (sort of like jean with the phoenix aura) or sometimes it manifests as insects skittering at the corner of the eye. very unsettling.

the guardians are allowed to exist because hal lets them (and they are uncomfortably aware of this fact)

sinestro thinks he's the master of fear, but hal just lets him think that.

Not sure how he can even fly now that he's so fat... Doesn't seem to be affecting his ego, though. I had this idea for something green lantern related recently, and after something my friend said, combined with inspiration from @bee-wg's post here, I came up with what's essentially a movie plot's worth of an idea and I had to draw this just to get it out of my system a little bit XD (This art isn't even really related to that idea LOL)

after thinking very deeply about it ive figured out the striders taco bell orders.

dirk - 2 nacho cheese doritos locos tacos with lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. for a drink he’d get a large pepsi. he gets really pissed off that they don’t have coke but he gets it anyways and suffers.

hal - hal can’t eat. but dirk would steal a bunch of fire sauce packets for him and call it a day.

dave - a crunchwrap supreme, which he’d share with karkat. and two baja blasts, because apparently daves fucking love baja blast. karkat may potentially also get cinnabon delights.

bro - one single regular hard taco with all the toppings. he eats it in two bites. no drink.

alpha dave - cheesy roll ups and a baja blast. he’s a busy man. do you think he has time to devour an entire crunchwrap supreme? absolutely not.

davesprite - gets the crunchwrap supreme but eats it all by himself. with the baja blast obviously. can’t forget that.

arquiusprite - bean burrito but that’s mostly equius. hal will ask for the cinnamon twists.
