Based on a Little Ask I Received from My Moot, @djinarocks about if M&M were to Someday Have a Cult Classic Fanbase from Tumblr (Mainly for Which One would be the Most Ultimate Blorbo of the Blorbos).
But I Feel that much like with the First Adaptation of "Animal Farm" Having the Most Cult Fanbase along with the Book, Halas & Batchelor's Version on "Max & Moritz: A Story of Seven Boyish Pranks" would also serve the Exact Same Way on Both the Main Adaptation and Book but I'm Sure Plenty of Adaptations would get the Same Recognition (like the 40s Stop Motion and 50s Live Action Ones).
But at the Same Time, None of These Adults would ever be Safe from Crack/Yume/OCXCanon Shipping or R34.
They are Six Types of Character Designs & Personalities People Would Thirst For in the Sake of Simping.
Teacher Lämpel is No Exception at All, Uncle Fritz would be the Target of an OC/Yume Relationship for the Boys to have Another Uncle or Aunt, and Widow Bolte would just be the Fandom's "Old Lesbian" for Old Women Yuri (or to be Crack-Shipped with Teacher Lämpel Because of Old Hetero Couple Goals if She were to be Labeled as Bi or Remain Still Straight).
(Ok, Techincally, Tailor Böck is Canonically Married but I'm Sure Anyone Would Want to Put Him and His Wife in a Poly Relationship with a Certain OC or in a AU where He's Divorced).
For the Semi-Villains? Master Baker & Miller would just be Easily Shipped for Some Child Murderer Yaoi (And the Modern Adaptation, "Max & Moritz Reloaded" Proves It that Had a Gay Couple Who were Soldiers Raising the Boys in a Boot Camp).
Not Sure for Farmer Mecke, but Hey, if People Out There Have Captain Hook as Their Favorite, Why Not This Dude? He's a Secret Thirst Trap Deep Down.
But for the Boys?
They Would be Easily Shipped with Children OCs since They're Canonically Kids (Rather if it be Boys or Girls Closest to Their Age) or Maybe Any of the Students from Their School.
There are 23 of Them and the Boys are like in an Addition of 25, There's like Plenty of Boys & Girls They'd be Shipped in a Innocent Young Romance (Unless if Children Dating was Legal back in the 1800s).
Kinda a Bit Nitpicking but I Feel that The Blonde Girl in the Red Shirt would be the Target One to be Shipped with Moritz due to the "Demon/Angel" Look They Got Going On.
Maybe The Raven-Hair Girl in Pink would Potentially be Shipped with Max as a Replica for Moritz/Goldi-Red Ship (or a Small "Girlfriend" Swap).
(I Can Already Hear Fanon Names Being Created for the Students for the Sake of the Fandom to Easily Name Them in the Background).
So Yeah, These are My Plenty Predictions on How I Think This Fandom Should Go Out in Some Years.
Before Anyone Asks; "What if I Shipped the Two Pranksters with Each Other?", I'll Block You.

Movie poster by an unknown artist, distributed by the National Screen Service (#55-183), for the 1955 US release of the Halas and Batchelor/ Associated British-Pathé motion picture Animal Farm. The film had premiered in Brazil and New York City three days before New Year's Day before going into wide release in 1955, including in its home country.
I found the Ruddigore cartoon through your fanart (love your work btw) and can I just say that this cartoon has so much meme potential because of how topsy-turvy the plot and characters are? I mean if the Dr Livesy walk from the old Treasure Island cartoon can become a meme, so can this. But it’ll be a long time that someone picks it up and make a meme out of it on TikTok or whatever.
it's a lot to hope for but I definitely agree with you about meme potential
and thanks so much, I'm glad you liked my art (and that you found a new cartoon because of it)!

Automania 2000
John Halas and Joy Batchelor
UK, 1963
Another married couple making excellent films, Halas and Batchelor started out by making war information and propaganda shorts for Great Britain during WW2, and later made the famous animated adaptation of Animal Farm. More on that some other time- in this post I want to show you Automania 2000.
The year 2000 has come and gone- look, some of you are Noughties Kids, but I remember the fantastic dreams and predictions for the millenium. Everyone would have flying cars! We'd live on the moon!
Unfortunately Halas and Batchelor's anti-consumerist satirical prediction turned out more accurate. Well, it's not quite as bad as they drew it...yet. But if it seemed like cars and wasteful consumption of superfluous goods were starting to become a problem back in 1963, then 2022 is so much worse.
H&B make their point about reckless supply and manipulated demand using excellent graphics. The film artfully mixes the textures of paper cut outs and painted backgrounds with the clean colours of cel animation. Every frame is a little masterpiece of graphic design.
The dystopia is horrifyingly beautiful.
