the first time gelinnas brought halatirion home to meet the family was a fucking riot

so halatirion was really fond of elladan and elrohir, and so as their friend and an older, more experienced warrior, elrond asked that he accompany them when they led the grey company during the war of the ring. so when the three hunters, the dead army, and the grey company joined the battle of pelannor fields, halatirion was there, wearing his stupid bright yellow coat and dorky plumed helmet.

hal not only named his prosthetics, but he carved these weird little faces into the knee caps. hal isn’t very good at carving, and the first time he took off his pants in front of gel she nearly died laughing
