"GHOSTLY, GHOSTLY PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!"
She slammed against the scientists, her body guarding his limp, pliant self. Her hands, gripping his shoulders
"NO! I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO TAKE HIM!"
"STAY BACK!"
She dug and snapped at whatever she could, her teeth digging into whatever came near, tears flowing freely, her eyes burning, blurred.
"Y-YOU CAN'T! You just can't!"
her words ended on hoarse broken sobs, her words breaking.
She screamed until she ran ragged, until she couldn't anymore
"Ghostly... C'mon get up! You'd say you'd be here for me!"
She didn't notice them come close as she tried to shake him up, his eyes glossed over. All she felt were arms grabbing and yanking at her flanks and shoulders.
Pushing her away from him, dragging her to the floor, holding her down.
"Stop! Stop it! Get away from him!"
She could only watch as they took him away. Out the door, out of her sight and grasp.
"Ghostly!"
She sharply gasped as she felt a sharp jab in her arm, a soft pressure, slightly painful. Then something being pushed into her veins, her eyelids becoming heavy, her weak and weary body settling down.
"no... no no..!"
She could only weakly cry it out as her vision became splotchy and her eyes closed, her mind going blank and dark as her body finally laid down to rest.
