Left speechless by her girlfriend’s confession. It wasn’t expected. Zelda had learnt not to await declarations of sentiment from Tate, as if that was the way in which her girlfriend was wired. It made Tatum uncomfortable. Zelda knew that; understood it. That didn’t mean she didn’t wish her girlfriend would tell her she loved her more often, but Zelda mostly kept that to herself. The vulnerability in Tatum’s voice, and upon her face, made Zelda’s jaw slacken. She looked at her girlfriend in bemusement, eyes flicking towards Tatum’s tightly folded arms, and how her body was half turned from Zelda as if she was expecting rejection, or to be hurt. Zelda took a few steps forward, closer to Tatum, wary that her girlfriend was on the verge of tears, something else Zelda knew Tatum hated showing, despite the fact that they’d been together for well over six years now. And they’d gone through worse. Tentative fingers reached up to hold the sides of Tatum’s arms, and gently Zelda urged the other woman to face her better, pulling her closer so that she’d have no choice but to look at Zel. "Why? Why do you hate it?” Zelda surveyed her girlfriend, tilting her head as Tatum’s eyes dropped, like she was adamant about not making eye contact. “You don’t need to hate it.” Her palms stroked up her girlfriend’s arms, as if through touch alone she could ease some of the tension in Tatum. Reassurance. ”I need you too. Alright? I’ve always needed you.” She cupped the other woman’s face, forcing Tatum to look at her. Zelda smiled, leaning closer, almost like she was going to kiss her.
Her thumbs brushed over soft cheeks. “You don’t have to hate needing me.” ”I won’t give you a reason to.”

How did they they meet?
Zelda met Tatum back in 2010, sometime in September at the beginning of the new school year. She was seventeen at the time, whilst Tatum was sixteen. They shared a mutual fondness for getting high.
Who developed romantic feelings first?
Zelda’s always had a soft spot for Tatum, she’s just never recognised it as anything other than platonic affection. Having said that, it was probably Tatum who started to openly fancy Zelda.
I think Zelda was more unaware of how she was acting with/around Tatum, until she’d see Tatum with other people. Then she’d get insanely jealous, and the first time that happened she probably thought: oh no, because now she realises what she’s feeling.
Who is their biggest “shipper?”
Ben! One hundred percent. He’s always been their top shipper.
When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances?
Their first kiss was probably during a drunken game of spin the bottle. Tatum was dared to kiss Zelda and I think they were both a little too eager to carry out the dare.
Who confessed their feelings first?
Zelda? Tatum? I think Zelda. It seems more likely that it’d be Zelda considering Tatum’s aversion towards feelings and love.
What was their first official date?
They stole a couple bottles of booze from Scarlett, fucked off to Burger King, then drove out to some drive-in cinema where they just chilled in the back of Zelda’s truck on top a blow up bed, a ton of pillows, and a large duvet. And naturally they got high, too.
How do they feel about double dates/group dates?
I think they’d be pretty up for double dates/group dates? It’s not like they care about making out when they’re with other people, in fact I’d wager they kind of enjoy the fact that other people can see them fawning over each other.
What do they do in their down time?
Get high and play video games in their underwear, or they play wrestle but that normally ends in Zelda crying, sex, building blanket forts, going to a nearby bar to play pool and drink. Sometimes they’ll say fuck it and go on road trips in Zelda’s truck, with Charizard.
What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?
Fucking awful for Zelda! Tatum pretty much used Zelda to spite Tatum’s mother, how do you think it went? And Tatum’s mother wasn’t very kind to Zelda at all, though the rest of Tatum’s family were alright. She couldn’t really learn much more about them because Tatum and her mom were shouting across the table at each other. They left in a hurry.
Tatum meeting Zelda’s mom, on the other hand, was fucking great. Probably too great because now they FaceTime each other and bitch about how dramatic Zelda is. Colette really loves Tatum, and that’s only heightened by how happy she can see Tatum has made Zelda. Tatum’s first meeting of Zelda’s dad was a hit or miss. They could have struck up a bond over sports, but he’s an utter douche canoe and always takes the side of his wife, Zelda’s step-mom, who isn’t fond of Zelda or anyone associated with Zelda. I.E. Tatum.
What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?
Their first small fight was probably over a game of Mario Kart. And they got past it by having sex. That’s it. They really never fix those types of arguments. They just ignore each other until the frustration fizzles out and they want to be in each other’s arms again.
Which one is more easily made jealous?
ZELDA, come on. This is a stupid question. Zelda’s dog could lick Tatum’s face a little too much and she’d warn him to back off.
What is their favourite thing to get to eat?
Burger King because neither of them have got any class, or taste.
Who’s the cuddly one? What their favourite cuddling position?
Tatum is actually the cuddlier of the two, though Zelda’s a close second. I feel like Tatum would jet pack the fuck out of Zelda in bed. Just wraps her legs and arms around Zelda’s body and tucks in super close to her, so tight that there’s no way Zelda’s getting out unless Tatum released her.
Are they hand holders?
Zelda is. Tatum protests but I secretly think she loves it when Zelda grabs her hand; especially in public, because it’s like Zelda is openly showing to everyone that Tatum is hers.
How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances?
Oh my god. TWO FUCKING YEARS! They wait so, so long! It’s like the two of them went through everyone else in high school/college, but not each other! They slept together after confessing that they were in love, and that they wanted to give a relationship a go. It was pretty pathetic really, since they said they’d go slow and ten minutes later they were fucking.
Who tops?
Tatum tops. I don’t need to say anymore.
What’s the worst fight they’ve ever gotten into?
Either over Tatum cheating on Zelda, or over the picture of Marielle on Zelda’s phone.
Who does the shopping and the cooking?
They do the shopping together, not that they do it particularly well. They’re like April and Andy where looking after themselves is concerned. Tatum cooks, and she’s actually pretty good at it. She likes cooking, not that she’d admit to that. Or how she watches the cooking channel. Zelda’s been banned from going anywhere near the cooker.
Which one is more organized and prone to tidiness?
Neither of them! Fuck!
Who proposes?
If either of them were to propose, I think it’d be Zelda. But if we’re being real, the only way they’d really get married is if they’re both high AF and mutually decide to get married right away.
Do they have joined Bachelor/Bacheloette parties or separate?
They do, and they go fucking HARD.
Who is the best man/maid of honour? Any other groomsmen or bridesmaids?
Ben and Scarlett. I don’t know what else to say. They’d probably fight over who got Ben.
Big Ceremony or Small?
The ceremony would be small, but the fucking party would be huge.
Do they have a honeymoon? If so, where?
To be honest, I can see them being trash and going straight to Ibiza. But then I think Zelda would take Tatum to France for a while, too.
“Do I even want to know what happened? No, no, just forget I even asked.” Amelia’s hand goes up to her curls as she surveys the mess surrounding her, trying to figure out what had happened, or at least make up some stupid scenario in her mind. A small step forward and she’s stepping in soaked, ripped up pieces of paper, he eyes on the pile of dishes that lined her counter. “It looks like someone was in the process of robbing me and gave up, so they decided to tear my place apart.”
It was getting too quiet in her apartment. Normally she’d be able to hear the people upstairs screaming at each other about money or the trash or which television show was on. But tonight—for whatever reason—everything had fallen to a ( hushed ) standstill. Only the occasional car could be heard honking. The problem was that now all Mim could hear were her own thoughts. And her thoughts had never been pretty things to mull over.
She threw on a coat and headed downstairs into the night. There was a light mist in the air, and it threw a small ghostly halo around the tip of her cigarette. She took in a drag and blew it out slowly ( trying not to care that she didn’t have friends, that she was AGITATED almost all the time, and that she missed her brother ). She didn’t register the person walking past, and as a consequence she blew the next puff of smoke directly into the person’s face.
“God, sorry,” Mim mumbled, pulling herself away from the wall she’d been leaning against. “Didn’t think there’d still be people out here. Don’t worry though, the smell wears off, just…give it a good rinse.”
“I’m so proud of you.” Grace scrambled to her feet, careful not to slip on the wet tiles she’d spent three hours scrubbing. There was no blood left anymore. If it wasn’t for the red specks still upon her clothing, and her pale forearms, it might have seemed as if there’d been no murder at all. There lay a bucket of bleach at her side, and dropping the sodden cloth into it, she proceeded towards the crying girl. The sobs coming from Octavia sounded strangled, alien, as if Octavia hadn’t let go in so long that now she was, it frightened her. Grace lowered herself in front of the sweet girl, caring hands coming up to brush strands of hair from her face.
“It’s okay to be frightened, it’s okay.” The tips of Grace’s fingers stroked down Octavia’s cheek, wiping away her tears. “I’m here.” Octavia was shaking. Whether she was acknowledging her panic or not, Grace couldn’t tell, and it didn’t matter. She was going to be there for her. “I am ALWAYS going to be here for you, sweetheart.” Grace hushed her soothingly, and lifted up from her knees to bring Octavia tightly into her arms. A hand came up to the back of the girl’s head, and she sighed. “Let it all out. Let it all out. I got you, honey. I’ve got you.”
“I swear to GOD if you pinch me again, then I’m getting out.” Despite her words, her conviction was POOR. They both knew she wasn’t going to leave the bathtub, and that was made even more obvious through how she settled her head against her girlfriend’s front, sinking lower between her legs. A foot appeared from out of the bubbles, and she propped it upon the side of the tub, smiling to herself. They didn’t get to do this often. There were showers back at the academy, but no baths. At least not for the students. It was probably one of the reasons Zelda had been looking forward to visiting her mom this Christmas holiday: the huge as fuck bath.
With all of the playful pinching out of the way, Zelda stuck her hand into the water to find Tatum’s, and connected her fingers with her girlfriend’s where her hand rest upon Zelda’s diaphragm. She looked down at herself in the water, and at their hands, and smiled a bit, one brow lifting in suggestive mirth. “Wanna f ” Before Zelda could finish her sentence, her mom was banging on the locked door to the bathroom, SHOUTING for her daughter to hurry up in there, dinner’s on the table. Zelda squeezed shut her eyes and stifled a groan.
