I haven’t watched in recent years too many things starring Sato Takeru, but if Nakamura Tomoya is his co-star then I’m in (and enjoying thus far). Also not sure about that last picture XD

Satoh Takeru will be in NHK TV's 98th asadora titled "Hanbun, Aoi" (Half, Blue).

Satoh Takeru will play the role of Hagio Ritsu, Suzume's childhood friend. Nagano Mei will be the leading actress who will play Nireno Suzume's character. The other cast includes: Matsuyuki Yasuko as Nireno Haru, Takito Kenichi as Nireno Taro, Kamimura Kaisei as Nireno Sota, Fubuki Jun as Nireno Renko, Nakamura Masatoshi as Nireno Senkichi, Tanihara Shosuke as Hagio Yaichi, Harada Tomoyo as Hagio Wako, Nao as Kidahara Nao, Yo Kimiko as Okada Kimika, and Yamoto Yuma as Saion Ryunosuke.

Nagano Mei was chosen from an audition and beats 2,366 contenders to play as Nireno Suzume, the main character of the drama.

The shooting of the drama will begin in the fall of 2017. The TV broadcast will start on April 2, 2018 and will end on September 29, 2018 in Japan. It will be aired from Mondays to Saturdays at 8:00am- 8:15am.

Plot:

In 1971, Suzume Nireno (Mei Nagano) is born at a small restaurant in a town in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture. She is born as a healthy child, but, in elementary school, she loses hearing in one ear due to a disease.

After graduating from high school, Suzume Nireno aspires to become a cartoonist and goes to Tokyo. There, she trains hard, but fails to become a cartoonist. She gets married and has a daughter. After experiencing financial hardship and divorcing her husband, Suzume Nireno returns to her hometown with her daughter. There, she faces an unexpected turning point in her life.  

Hana Angel's Note: Asadora or Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu is a morning drama series aired during the mornings by NHK. Nagano Mei played the role of Sanjo Tsubame, the young employee at Akabeko restaurant who became one of the victims of opium poisoning in Rurouni Kenshin 2012 live-action film.
