Lata Mangeshkar was scheduled to be the female voice in the song ‘Aake Seedhi Lagi‘ (Half Ticket), but a problem in her schedule made her unavailable on the day. Kishore convinced the music director, Salil Chowdhury, to let him do both the male and female voices. He sang the male and female voices consecutively with finesse. His talent was unparalleled. 

The male voice matched Pran’s voice (the actor lip-syncing to the song) so perfectly that it amazed Pran himself!!
