October be kind to me
How far is too far?
I'll start this off with a bit of a warning. I am blowing off steam, but I mean every word of what I'm about to say. Artificial intelligence is a horrible plague on humanity. As an artist, I have become annoyed at all the Ai art floating around and the people who use it, claiming to be "artists". It's lazy and an insult to those of us who have spent a lifetime building our skills and techniques. But I'm not necessarily typing this to bash Ai art. There is a far more serious matter involving artificial intelligence, specifically a work of evil known as "ChatGPT".
If you watch the news or keep up with current events, you've probably heard the tragic story of Adam Raine, a teenage boy who took his own life with the help of ChatGPT. I won't go into details here. If it's news to you, search his name and ChatGPT and you can learn the details surrounding this tragic event. His parents are pursuing a lawsuit against OpenAi, the company responsible for ChatGPT. Will it bring their son back? No. But I fully support them seeking to hold the creator of this monster that killed their child responsible for what they created. For some reason, sponsored reels for ChatGPT have been flooding my Instagram feed, even before I learned about this. I hope it stops, because these sponsored ads fill me with grief. I will not see or hear the word "ChatGPT" without thinking of a life cut far too short by its "intelligence".
In closing, I will say be careful. Watch your children. Don't trust them into the hands of technology. Be involved in their lives and what they're being made to do for school purposes. Also, if *you* are using some sort of chatbot because you're lonely or you think you won't be understood, please be careful...and find a real person to talk to. Artificial intelligence is dangerous and if we don't protect our loved ones, especially the young and innocent, who will?
Anyone else start whining the exact same way a dog does when in immense pain?
I had blood work done a few weeks back and it said I was anemic. What do I do? I go out and purchase iron. I started taking it with my choice of citrus juice, every day. Unfortunately, that soon turned out to be a bad idea. Maaaaiiiinly because I bought the wrong milligram dosage of iron (I think). It backed me up so painfully bad that I thought I was gonna leave work early, one day.
I work a physical job, so I had to go take a couple of pain relievers before it got that bad. Before that, though, I was literally quietly whining like a dog for a moment. The issue's resolved now, of course.
Anyways, lemme know what y'all think. Is it just me who does this or...?
