I'm just going to ask: Is Henry like the Grim Reaper?

Yes, in my interpretation/AU, Henry has a lot to do with being what you could describe as a Grim Reaper.

I went with that after noticing Henry being tied to death themes and Joey to life themes.

But I suppose the biggest points are:

the ink bottle having a skull on it (he is shown/implied to be drawing with it throughout the playthrough, for example while being held captive by allison and tom),

the "you bring death" secret message that also has a skull incorporated into it,

the death tunnel,

obviously the scythe and the way you obtain it - by not dying yourself at all and by killing everyone else you can,

the "secret ending" which is activating the black and white vision after you obtain the scythe and willingly enter the hidden death tunnel in chapter 1 upon restarting the cycle,

henry playing "the end" being what ends the current iteration and in some way killing/defeating the ink demon in that moment.

And I know maybe the current Bendy canon went far away from Joey's BATIM Chapter 3 message but to me that always has been the core part of his character - his comment about "cheating death itself".

So funny to think about Henry symbolising "the death itself". :)
