Curtis Williams: Half Forgotten Daydreams
Curtis Williams, one of my favorite Two-9 crew members, dropped 15 tracks this weekend. He is calling it the "Half Forgotten Daydreams" mix-tape. In all honesty, its an album, and really hones in on the type of music the Two-9 crew is all about. Heavy instrumentation, melodic and mesmerizing beats coated in an vat of grit and realness. Production is mostly by Childish Major,C4, Krysshun and Ceej of the Two-9 crew, and its impressive, to say the least.
I'm rooting for Two-9 to get global recognition they observe. The music they bring to the table is unique and the range of skills in the camp is diverse and deserves recognition. Its not many projects you can just cut on and let ride like the Half Forgotten Dreams project. Its competing with my favorite project from the Two-9 crew Retro Sushi | Kung Fu in Japan.
