@halfpintkay because the world needs more Benverly as well
Bev wasn’t entirely sure how long she’d been pacing around her room at the townhouse, earbuds jammed in her ears as she texts friends from home for advice. The marks from her husband’s belt had turned into bruises over the last couple of days, bruises and cuts from the final battle with IT joined them. She didn’t want to separate from her friends....especially after almost losing all of them so soon...and she didn’t want to face what was at home waiting for her. Richie was the only one who knew, the two of them having had a heart-to-heart while they waited for everyone to come back from their showers. He said if Eddie was down for a pit stop they’d both go with her, but she didn’t want to put her friends in danger.
Blue eyes flicker to the door when Ben’s form appears, pulling the earbuds out of her ears as she feels a few tears fall. Wait, when did she start crying? Either way, she couldn’t help the way she lit up when she saw him. Ben was safety. Ben was home. Rubbing her tears away, she crossed the distance between them and hugged him close, sniffling before burying her face in his shoulder. “Something wrong, Ben?”
