ปรกติเมื่อพูดถึงประเทศสิงคโปร์ เรามักจะคุ้นเคยกับนายกรัฐมนตรี อย่างตอนนี้นายกรัฐมนตรีของสิงคโปร์ คือ นาย ลี เซียน ลุง ซึ่งถ้าดูข่าวจะเห็นท่านเสมอ แต่มีอีกตำแหน่งที่ใหญ่กว่านั่นคือประธานาธิบดีสิงคโปร์ ซึ่งหลายคนอาจไม่รู้จัก วันนี้เลยขอหยิบเรื่องราวมาฝากสักหน่อยค่ะ สุภาพสตรีเสื้อแดงในภาพที่กำลังโบกมือ ท่านนี้คือประธานาธิบดีสิงคโปร์คนปัจจุบัน (คนที่ 8) เธอชื่อว่า ฮาลิมาห์ ยาคอบ ยาคอบ เป็นลูกคนสุดท้องค่ะ ช่วงชีวิตวัยเด็กไม่ได้สุขสบายเลย เธอเกิดมาในครอบครัวที่ยากจน โดยตอนที่ ยาคอบ อายุ 8 คุณพ่อเสียชีวิต คุณแม่ต้องเลี้ยงลูกทั้ง 5 คนเพียงคนเดียว ยาคอบศึกษาด้านกฎหมาย สำเร็จการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยสิงคโปร์ ระดับ LLB (Hons) จบปริญญา LLM ที่ มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ ได้รับปริญญาดุษฎีบัณฑิตกิตติมศักดิ์จากที่เดียวกันนี้ ต่อมาก็หันมาเล่นการเมืองและได้เป็นประธานาธิบดีในที่สุด เป็นประธานาธิบดีหญิงคนแรกของประเทศ โดย ยาคอบ เองมีลูก 5 คนค่ะ ผู้หญิง 3 ผู้ชาย 2 ถือเป็นแบบอย่างของคนเก่ง คนสู้ชีวิตคนหนึ่งเลยค่ะ ^_^ #singapore #singaporenationalday #halimahyacob #president
