Cas buying Sam all of these sweaters, but he has no taste and so they're all really dorky christmas ones or something, but they're warm and they smell like Cas and Sam just wears them everywhere.

Dean regrets throwing his amulet away. He would like to give it to sam now, it's really important.
Then, when they finally meet god, it would be Sam who is the first to know and it would burn hot against his skin. Purity, forgiveness, god, heat. They're all gifts he wishes he could give his brother now.

Cas was the one to fall, and all the grace that resinates within him takes it's time to leak back out in lower order energy. He's warm for now, but loosing it fast. So Sam and him spend days curled up together and Cas keeps whispering "Sorry" into Sam's hair and kissing it. Sam says it's okay but one morning Cas wakes up with cold fingers and Sam can't deal with it.
It's the last time they share their bed for a very long time.
Sam just can't act the same around Cas after the fall, and that's what hurts the former angel the most. It's the fact that he's got cold feet and a cold nose that makes Sam flinch when he kisses his neck. He doesn't miss flying as much as he misses holding Sam in his wings. He can't make grace flow around them when they fuck and somehow body heat doesn't measure up the same when sweat gets cold so fast.
They try so much but it's so much harder after the fall.
Endverse Cas takes drugs because he knows Sam will always be trapped in ice now. He doesn't even have his grace to wrap the hunter up in if he ever did come home.
Sam finds comfort in Dean's body heat, be it curled up next to him or just a gentle brush as he changes gears. It's a little different when Dean gets the mark of Cain and his body burns so hot. It kind of ruins the comfort from the cold when the heat that fights it back is the broken scar of a murderer.
