A card from SD to LP - postmarked November 3rd, 1953

This Hallmark card was found behind our old kitchen cabinets, when we renovated our kitchen in 2009. I scanned the front, but not the envelope or other contents. I can only note that it was a “teenage-esque discussion of boys and locals”, according to my flickr archive. (The card was returned to L and her family. I don’t have a record of what the contents actually were)

Earlier today (April 3, 2023), L passed away. She and her brothers grew up in my house, and some of them stayed in the area. Indeed, L lived her last days about half-a-mile away, on the same road. I might’ve met L in the first few months after I moved to Maine. But since many people stopped by at that time, I cannot clearly remember her. She was in her 80s, at the time of passing.

With most of my flickr archive gone, I wanted to repost this card here. Just a little reminder to myself of the impact those demo “finds” had on me back then.
