He skids to a stop down the hallway and vaults the stairway railing, landing with a thud on the second floor. His HUD is glitching, overlayed with glyphs he doesn’t bother to actually read as he shoulder-checks a door open and grabs the guard on the other side by the collar-fairing to toss them away. Orion does not stop to check whether they’re dazed or utterly unconscious, he has to keep going, he’s got to get out. He’ll give Starscream credit where credit is due. This upgraded body is fast, faster than he has ever been, and Optimus can twist with more range and dodge more smoothly than he’s ever had to— because he does have to, now, one solid hit might down him. He’s still got his horn. It thunders like a war cry, drowning out Soundwave’s voice on the alarms, but the guards are standing their ground, they’re not moving. They’re not going to let him make it— Optimus pivots and slams through a window, heedless of just how high up he is. He’ll figure something out. ::CO-ORDINATES?::

Ratchet had not expected to end up sitting down with Bluejack after he, by pure chance, had found him on his way out of the catacombs. But here they were, sitting in the dim light provided by Cybertron's veins and their own biolights, and now, he was resting on him. Ratchet supposed, he could rest... Just for a bit. For the young one's sake. The medic understood that he was likely scared, suffering from uncertainty about the future, and needed comfort.

Ratchet could not fully share his field. He was in no stable condition to provide the aura of a gentle caretaker... But, he could rely on touch. Smooth digits gently laid over the helm currently resting on his gray thigh, before brushing the edge of Bluejack's face with a thumb.

"... You should not try to venture any deeper under the surface. You could become lost, and I cannot risk providing a path to my workspace to anyone, nor send any communications from it." He could not be found. He wasn't finished. He could not afford to be stopped.

It was time to surface. He had run all tests. He had adjusted to his additional armor with every section he completed. He had checked combat movement and efficiency, repeatedly. There was no reason to delay further- he wished he hadn't needed to at all, but when one was down to their last chance, it should not be wasted recklessly.

So he did surface. And he slowly made his way to the source, the structure that Megatron gave his victory speech, walking silently and steadily with a single purpose. Ratchet's craftmanship may have made it seem his additional layers of armor were natural, were it not for the fact that, despite how many times it was folded in forging, the armor was still paintless, colorless, like the corpses the material was salvaged from. He almost resembled a ghost, some restless warrior of old who did not even have transforming blades, because at his side, he held a sword (again, of his making).

If he was noticed long in advance, so be it. If he was unnoticed until he needed to challenge individuals for entry and audience, well, that would be fine, too. In fact, as he walked, he highly doubted he would remain unnoticed. It did not take long for some to realize something was very off about his appearance, combined with carrying a weapon unsheathed, and he was well aware of Soundwave's surveillance capacity.
