5 Ways Stores Set Up For Halloween
Shops in San Francisco have their own way of setting up shop for the first occasion of the Winter Season, “Halloween.” It is a very exciting time of year for those who like to dress up as well as changing up the shop & adding their Halloween touches to it. Here are ways in the past that San Francisco & other places has represented the holiday:
1) Ralph Lauren represents their brand with spooky skeletons dressed up in their Fall/Winter attire. They use props such as haystacks and corn stalks to resemble a spooky farm.
2) Cole Hardware store shows off their broomstick skills in the window. It is always fun to see a store that is not fashion be involved with this occasion.
3) Little Marc Jacobs shows a big scary pumpkin at the window to let the children know what time of year it is with the company of two children mannequins.
4) Marc Jacobs shows off their minimalist window with a “ghost” bull and a women mannequin in the newest Fall MJ color.
5) Kate Spade shows off their visual merchandising skills by creating flying deck cards that resemble their clothing.
These are the top searches that I have found for San Francisco Halloween window displays. This gives us a sense of how different stores would portray their way of Halloween. I feel like boutique stores and shops should be more involved with decorating their storefronts and the interior of it so that they can showcase their work and creativity through PR or other public fashion platforms. Isn’t that what visual merchandisers are for
