So. I have a headcanon for how Halloween goes on Alturnia. Here we go!

The lore for Troll Halloween, or Jade Moons eve, is an event based on a true event in troll history (not cannon, but still)

Many sweeps ago, in the time of the signless, a jade blood who came to be known as the Cursed One lived. She was once a simple Jade, going about her life and doing her duty as a jade to continue the species. One day, she became especially close to a young grub who wasnt picked by a lusus and she took it in, raising the young troll as her own. However,she was discovered and ratted out by her own jades to the Grand Highblood, who sent his goons to not only kill her beloved grub, but beat her within an inch of her life. Afterwards she went mad, killing her jades before she left her caverns and started to prey on any troll she could find. One way you would know she was coming was the sound of her wailing, crying out the name of the grub she had lost..and if you dared crossed her path? Youd be dead within the day.

After many many sweeps she was changed from a normal jade to a rainbow drinker for marketing purposes and the ideas of dressing up in costumes to confuse her turned into a fun holiday for wrigglers and older trolls alike.

Every time its celebrated, a jade is picked to play The Cursed One, and that jade goes about scaring the absolute shit out of everyone.
