I Like to Pretend That the Addams Family, the Munsters, & Halloweentown Are All In One World
While the Addams's certainly have some supernatural relatives, the main Addams Family members are not supernatural themselves. Morticia and Grandmama are more along the lines are herbalists in comparison to the witches in Halloweentown. They can work with herbs and such, but can't use a wand or hand magic and such.
The Munsters are an odd mix of things. The reason Marilyn Munster is "normal" is because her father is a Halloweentown witch (and possibly the creator of Herman Munster, cause that's the best way to explain why her last name is Munster, even though shes not a blood relative of Herman), and while her mother *is* a vampire, she just takes after her father. Herman was made by someone (probably Marilyns father) from Halloweentown, in all likelihood. We see "Frankensteins" in Halloweentown. We also see, obviously, vampires. Which is where we get Lily and Grandpa.
The Munsters and Addams's are related likely through Marilyn's mother or through Lily and Morticia. If it's through Marilyn, then maybe Morticia and Grandmama are actual witches, and Morticia is a second cousin. If its through Lily, then the two women are also likely to be second cousins, through grandpa and grandmama. Like. Maybe Grandmama and Grandpa Dracula are brother and sister, and Grandmama married Mr. Frump, had Morticia and Ophelia, and then obviously, Morticia married Gomez. And obviously Grandpa Dracula got married, and had Lily, Marilyn's mother, and their brother Lester Dracula (whose a werewolf btw, which indicates that Grandpa Dracula is either half werewolf himself, or he's full vampire, and Mother Dracula was a werewolf, and this explains why Eddie is a "werewolf". Hes partly one. But he still has vampire traits like sleeping in coffins, and has his mother and grandfathers parlor), and after that came Eddie Munster and Marilyn Munster.
The Addams Family is one mostly of "normal" people, but with a few outliers of witch and even werewolves and vampires. The Munsters are an interesting bunch of people who blend all kinds of folks into their family. And they're both branches of the same family who residents both in the human world, and Halloweentown, and are just their authentic, kooky selves everyday!
