This is an interesting perspective, though I disagree with the conclusion. I’ll outline why below and I’d love to hear if/why you’d disagree with me or if I’ve missed something important :)

If you quantify magik it becomes weak.I do not limit my talismans (which I call spells) to working through energy exchange only.

If an object which is considered a spell constantly or occasionally changes other things with energy it means they also have energy to change the spell and they can also resist the change.

 A spell that culminates in the creation of a talismanic item charges the item with the energy and intention and magic which then, if done right, should emanate from the item and continue to create change towards the desired outcome.

A spell culminates in the creation of (x) then magik does the rest is what I read above, and that is exactly what I am saying. A spell is us using magik, I think everyone can agree on that one.

Then the clockwork of the universe unfolds according to its model. At the moment I am thinking that the creation of a magikal thing which appears to continue to change the world simply sets the clockwork on a different pattern. Would you say that a new cog in a set continues to change the pattern or immediately determines the pattern.

I like your line of questioning, especially by bringing up magikal items. More questions to create.
