There's something that after Christmas I might draw for, thats been bouncing around my head.

So I'm somewhat in to halo, cause I like the dramatic aliens, right?

Well there's this idea I have of what if there was a halo multiverse hub type thing?

Like spiderverse or underverse, but with halo characters.

With random trope AUs just chilling. Shift Aus (Arbiter/Banished leader John, spartan/Banished leader Thel 'Vadam, spartan/Arbiter Atriox, etc), demon Aus, slice of life, daycare aus, undertale aus, fnaf aus, gravity falls, etc. All just chilling and enjoying each other's shenanigans while trauma bonding.

I relate to too many characters (John getting kidnapped and not getting to have a childhood, thus not ever going to feel truly human/normal. Atriox losing everything and internalizing the hatred he felt from those that wronged him, the sense of loss of identity that thel experienced when he realized he was betrayed and lied to by the Prophets, the list goes on).

They deserve it as a little treat.

Main thing I want to draw for this idea is what I call "Unexpected trios." Just the chiefs, Arbiters, and banished leaders chilling together and somewhat sharing a braincell. For some reason Atriox gives dad vibes from what I've read and vaguely saw of him. Thel seems depressed. And John is just... he needs to sit down and just not be everyone's hope for 5 minutes.

It's a new comfort au thing bouncing in my braincells that once I'm done with my Christmas comic, I will hopefully remember to draw.

do we at any point either in the games or books see the process for lunching Nukes the UNSC uses? is it super easy done by AI or is there a two key system?

That, I honestly have zero idea. I would assume it depends on the situation. The Haloverse is 500 years from now, and nukes seem to just be Another Weapon In The Arsenal. I'm guessing there's something humanity has in place to deal with the fallout (scrubbers, drugs, chemicals, idk) bc that doesn't seem to factor into any part of the decision to use a nuke or not, afaik.

"Quinn, that last Brute Chieftain had a data core on person, I'm uploading the information now to your HUD." The Spartan IV reflexively holstered her weapon, and squatted to shrink her profile. As the information poured in from of her skin, a she smiled, "Thanks Aurora, this is what I needed." "No problem Quinn."

Episode 6 "Solace" of season one, let's talk about the aftermath of the battle on Eridanis. John-117: A multitude of memories are assaulting John in our cold open. He's obviously under supervision for what he did and also for his obvious growing instability. We snap into reality as Kai is in extreme pain from her ordeal and he is confronted by Captain Keyes who thanks him. Makee is definitely of interest to Chief who I hope will have a strong sense of suspicion for the woman. Makee is sus as fuck. I'm still blaming Adun for this fuck, if he hadn't just gone and messed around with crap instead of being less pushy it wouldn't have alerted the Covenant. And he almost kills Halsey, he should have killed her. Good to see that Chief is as smart as he is supposed to be. Chief confronts Halsey again after almost killing her in the lab, and the woman comes clean. I mean, she's trying to rationalize her bullshit. And Miranda has seen it all. Not bad at directing all that wonderful deflecting his questions. He gets some air, obviously having severe flashbacks and he pushes Cortana to make a choice. This is definitely a John centric episode as he finally relents and diagnoses his problems. His deterioration is continuing and he's playing right into Makee's hands. Miranda: Finally getting treated somewhat okay, she talks to her mom about it. Dammit, Keyes see through her bullshit. She's finally gotten her recognition and now she's being used by her mother once again. This woman is brilliant and yet people continue to misalign and mistreat her. We can see that Miranda is trying to work with Chief, but his sheer force of will plus Miranda's growing sympathy lead them to a massive discovery. Kai: Our girl has been having an endless line of shit in this ongoing saga, and finally that we have Miranda now in command I hope things will change. In the scene where her teammates observe the weapon upgrades, you can see she's feeling further shock at the kidnapping revelation. Halsey: After almost dying, admitting her monstrous nature we finally see a little bit of punishment. She loses the entire Spartan Program, and her daughter now takes over. She still deserves death IMO. Makee: Welp, a straight face on this girl continues to show how dead-faced she really is. Yup, she's an okay actor, but John seems to be pretty honest in his distrust. She decides to play the "I'm a blessed one" card, and yup the Hirajo word gets him. Dammit, Chief! Don't fall for this! Welp, he does, dammit, she's an okay manipulator. Captain Keyes: The leading committee that oversees Section Three and the Spartans really shows how desperate the UNSC is. Putting the Spartan IIs under separate command was, honestly, an interesting decision it makes sense. Bota's comment about how the "Mission Matters more" shows the man is not to be trusted by boots on the ground. He's obviously starting to lose his desire to remain the silent partner in his complicity in the abuse of the Spartan IIs. Conclusion: Wow, this episode finally upped the anty on what we've been waiting for for a very long time. It's good that they have finally decided to move forward toward Halo, but I dislike the idea that only these "Special Ones" hold the right of the Reclaimer. So after today's episode I've decided I'll be returning to the style of reaction I've been doing with the Book of Boba and Wheel of Time. Individual PoV reacts are fun, but they are pretty time consuming. Hottakes: Halsey dying early would suck, but dammit I hate that woman. Especially, for once again using her own daughter. She's like a Tau ethereal mixed with a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Miranda seeing all her new toys and committing illegal actions right away was, wow. Good tone to set IMO, she has a strong relationship with Chief in her stories so its good to see it here. Cortana needs to break away from Halsey, hopefully she does it soon.

Cold Open: Years ago, on Eridanus the Monster Haley visits the Reach for Life project. And we can see her zoning in on John as special. We can already see the almost stepford-like glance she gives her husband. Yup, he knows she's gonna be stealing kids! Dr. Keyes: We switch to Keyes, her father has taken command over the Eridanus defense. Kai and Keyes appear on friendlier base as she exits. Again getting ignored by momma, because neglect is still abuse. Keyes is gushing over the new discovery, and finds out she's off the project. But, she's obviously, figures out her dad has a big stake with Halsey. You can see her thinking as well as dealing with her emotions. Haley: Sing with me, HALEY IS A MONSTER BITCH! This entire thing, just keeps getting better and better. Looks like Adun, her assistant, is a out to get everyone killed because they didn't think to do further research on the fucking material. John-117 Master Chief is back to his stoic HELMET wearing self. (Seriously, people we don't need to see his face).  John having seeing trauma and worse from his past, is quiet. Cortana seems to be unable to reach him, and he's actively disassembling in front of Haley. Chief reunites with Kai, and she gives her the reality of her new feelings. He grounds her, and she questions it, and Cortana pushes Chief since he's being a moody helmetless asshole. John confronts Captain Keyes about Haley, and you can see it in his eyes. He's haunted, maybe John will pick up on it. God, I hope he does. John should kick Adun right now, but he's too busy staring at the larger part of the keystone. Our boy knows he's been fucked with, and he goes to the machine to learn even further. He jumps at Halsey, which she fucking deserves, and is then shut down Data style by Cortana. Ha Kwan: Rebel Girl is off in the middle of the desert on Madrigal, only alive from our assassin because Soren is a total bad ass. I think she's starting to realize, hopefully, that she's not as combat capable. And, yup, she's left behind because now she owes Soren. Seriously girl, you need to learn proper combat training and how to actually deliver. Kwan, girl, you seriously are living in a fantasy world. Sigh, like, I get it that she's almost dead, and her family was killed before her. But, again, I said she's delusional. Kwan, just doesn't grasp the level of consequence, and how life can just smack you. Hopefully, she learns something, she needs to get it through her head, that you have to make retreats to make gains in the future. And she runs' off, never mind. Soren returns, and there's no Kwan, the man is outright irritated. HOpefully he can track Rebel Princess, and doesn't kill her. At least, she's wait, nope she is. Holy shit, she got the drop on a Spartan. Now if only she could use that fucking knowledge, and stop getting OTHER people killed.  This fith was fucking amazing, and honestly, WE can see why they gave the Spartan's their pellets. Kai-125: Silver Team is prepping for the upcoming defense and further exploration of the ruins. Kai asks questions and receives a pretty blunt military level rebuke from Vannak. I do like how our girl is questioning the military indoctrination she's been put under. Kai is a little unhinged, she's questioning shit, and while I disagree with Chief punishing her, I am curious if this will provided another Kaiyes moment! Makee: The blessed one appears back on madrigal, and is leading her Elite cadre to search for what the UNSC already knows. The Elite seems to question her, but is far more respectful than one might think. Ah, time for more infiltration, and hopefully Chief doesn't fall for it. Conclusion:

WE finally got some action! I get, we were sepnding time setting it all up, but finally seing Jackals and Grunts in action! I have some more ideas for a Kaiyes, scene, and wow, if you haven’t read it, check out my Drabbles on my second favorite Halo OTP here!

It is interesting, when you dig into the lore, how Truth and co hijacked the Covenant and mislead the other prophets and peoples of the Covenant about the war with humanity, and how things could have gone differently had that not happened.

And yet, if it hadn’t, there’s a very good chance no one would have been on hand to stop the Covenant from eventually figuring out how to launch the great journey... and kill everyone.

So in some ways, the human-covenant war might have been the best thing.

Ya know, I was just thinking back to when I played Halo games for the first time, and the one thing that really hit me hard was that I wasn't expecting the amount of emotion in each game. I think that's what I miss most about not having a working xbox.
