The Adventures of Hamtaro - We Are the Ham-Hams Vol. 2 English Fan-Translation

Hamha! Kristo-Ham here! It's been a while.

You might remember last year I was working on a fan-project translating the Hamtaro manga books not officially released in English.

Vol. 2 of Hamuchanzu de Gozaimachu has now been completed! This time, a fan called Barak did the translation, and WhiteyCocoa (previously known as WhiteChocolate) did the editing and typesetting.

Do you have any sexuality hcs for the Ham-Ham gang?

Well I can't say I have too many exciting ones, but giving some time to think about it, here's what I would headcanon:

Bijou is absolutely Bi. There's no way she's not a little sapphic.

(I know this isn't sexuality-based but I don't know when else I'm gonna get to talk about it) If Boss isn't trans in some way then he's absolutely genderfluid. He rarely treats dressing as a lady as embarrassing and is great at owning it (EDIT: Which I feel for him was an awakening for discovering more about his identity. Added for clarification). In the context of the anime, yeah it's treated as cross-dressing and "humorous," but today this reads so SO differently.

Howdy and Dexter have SOME sort of feelings they haven't figured out yet, but romantically they direct it towards Pashmina since that's the most "normal" thing to do and then treat each other as rivals as a result.

Hamtaro is undoubtly asexual. I wouldn't say aromantic, because there's cases in the anime he understands what love is. But becomes frustrated when forced into a scenario since clearly he wants to understand love and go through it naturally. (Case: Episode 192 - "Sparkle in Hollywood")

Prince Bo is pan, but he's not exactly part of the OG Ham-Ham gang. Also after watching Knitting Barrette, Barrette is definitely Bi or Pan. She literally gets crush on Hamtaro and then Pashmina in the same episode.

Regardless of which ham-ham feels what I think ultimately, the most important thing to remember about the Ham-Hams is that no matter what your sexuality is or how you feel about yourself and your identify, the Ham-Hams will always love and support you. No matter what.
