Runaway pt.6
"All done," said Panchito as he stapled the last of his flyers to a wooden telephone pole. He then stood back and admired all of the work he did over the past few hours. On every street and on every light pole and on every building was a picture of a white duck wearing a blue sailors outfit with a matching blue hat smiling brightly at the world. Panchito swallowed the lump in his throat at the thought of never seeing Donald smile like again. He quickly shook his head and erased the thought from his head because thoughts like that never solved anything.
It has been a week since Donald runaway from his home. There is no sight of him at all. No one didn't find Donald and report it to the police. Panchito wishes that Donald realize that his family are deeply sorry to him and wish to come back home.
With a sigh, the rooster padded back over to Donald's old car and climbed in. José was somewhere on another street personally passing out flyers to different people in hopes of meeting someone who had seen Donald on the day he went missing. He really hoped that his green feathered friend had gotten some leads that would point them in some sort of direction. With that thought in mind, Panchito started the car and drove off to where José was.
José handing out flyers to the people they walk by but none of them didn't see Donald. None of them didn't even bother to take a flyer from José. None of them didn't even bother to help their search.
”Well, did any of them tell you about Donald?” Panchito asks the Brazil green bird. But Jose simply replies with a no. ”I’m afraid not my dear friend. I didn't have any information about Donald from them. We have to keep looking. He's our friend. Friend help each other.”
Later in the sunset, Panchito and Jose returned back to McDuck Manor and went to Donald Boat House to spend a night. Once they secured a room for the night José immediately lit up another cigar while Panchito popped open a bottle of the soda coke in a couch. After a few minutes of nothing but smoking and drinking, José finally broke the silence.
"So what do we do now, my friend?" asked the parrot. "We look everything in Duckburg, there’s no sight of him. We went to his favorite places but no sight of him.”
“We have to pray my friend, my mama alway told me “If you pray hard enough to the lord. He will answer your prayers”.” Panchito quoted.
“Did you think it will works?” Jose asks the rooster. ”I don't know but it is a work of shot.” Panchito reply with a sigh as he took Jose hand and they began to pray.

In the dark of the night, the only light in the ground came from the circus. Donalcity in the rock. As he stared at it, he rubbed his full belly he has been eaten. He couldn't remember ever being so stuffed. Donald looks up at the night sky and saw beautiful shining stars above. He never sees stars like this before. Back in Duckburg, there's no star to see because of the light from the city.
”It love isn't?” Donald look behind him and it was Hamilton, he's not wearing his outfit he wore in the circus tent earlier. Instead, he wore a tank top which is made from knit fabric. Black and white striped with a black and white dotted inside. A black trim accents the neckline and sleeves. And it seems that Hamilton is wearing a jean jacket with fur inside to keep him warm.
And the pants are made from the best fabric suitable. These are flat front with elastic on the back. Black pants are accented with a red and gold accent trim. Hamilton still has his tiny ponytail and he then sits next to him. ”Yeah, I never saw any stars like this before.”
”Never?” Hamilton ask the duck. ”Never, ” Donald shake his head no. ”It’s because I live in a….” Donald has to come up with a lie. ”It because I live in a city where no stars appear in a night sky. I haven't seen any stars since then. But today, I have.”
”You know, I never told you my last name, it’s Hamilton Brown.” Hamilton Brown smile at him.
”Come.” Hamilton got up, “I would like you to meet everybody in the circus. I’m sure they're happy to meet you.” Donald got up as well and follow Hamilton.
When they got there, Donald saw a bunch of circus folk eating together like a family. ”Everyone! I'd like you to meet Donald!" Hamilton said, introducing the duck.
”Hello! It's nice to meet you.” Donald smile at them.
”Donald, this is Alyssa, the animal trainers.” Donald looks at the tall female brown dog shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you." Alyssa said, shaking his hand.
"Likewise," Donald replied.
”This is Aiden, the magician.” Aiden shakes his hand and he takes off his top hat and put his hand in it as Donald look at him curiously. Aiden suddenly takes a single blue rose out of the top hat and give it to Donald.
”A blue rose! My favorite! Thank you!” Donald smell a blue rose. And so, Hamilton introduced Donald to everyone and including the circus animals.
”And last but not least, my niece, Angelica.” Donald look at his niece. Donald got down at her level. ”Hello! It's very nice to meet. What a pretty you have there.” Donald smile at her, she's probably the same age as Webby.
But Angelica then ran and hide behind her uncle tail. Donald looks at him cluelessly. ”Sorry, she's shy around new people. But she will warm it up. Trust me.” Hamilton smile.
And then, Hamilton told Donald about what they usually do. In the Circus, everyone had chores. Their daily schedule consisted of doing that and practicing their acts. It was a bit different for the Angelica though. Since she was young, she cannot do act, practices, or perform a trick with her uncle. She mostly sits with the crowds to watch the show in the front row so he can see him during the performance.
Donald sit with Hamilton right across the fire. Where they roast a marshmallow in the fire. Donald swallowed of the marshmallow. Despite being with the circus folk that was slowly becoming his friends, he still felt lonely.
"You alright Donald?" asked Hamilton.
"Huh, oh, yeah. I was just...thinking."
"About what?"
"Well, it's nothing. I don't want to talk about it.” Donald said as he faces forward the ground and not at Hamilton.
“A-Alright, I will respect that. Hey! Maybe tomorrow, we should-” Hamilton suddenly stop and he then looks at Donald and saw that Donald suddenly rests his head on Hamilton's shoulder. Hamilton then takes off his jacket and put it around Donald's shoulder and he then put his tail on Donald lap to keep him warm.
”Sweet dream Donald.” Hamilton then put his arm around Donald's shoulder and he rests his head upon Donald's head as he hears the fire crackle.

“So you’re staying here?!” Hamilton said with a mix expression of shock and surprise. Donald nodded his head yes. Madame Celestine has told everyone and the ringmaster in the circus that Donald decided to stay in the circus. Donald has told Hamilton a good new. ”I am going to stay here! With you, your niece, and everybody!”
”Donald…” Hamilton sweeps the duck up high overhead and spins him around. ”I love it... I could kiss you again!” Hamilton realizes what he just said. He put him on the ground, suddenly embarrassed.
”...I could. I mean I'd like to. I'd... may I? We me...I mean, may we? Wait, what?” Donald giggles at him and Hamilton goes even redder. He tells Hamilton to get down on his level which he did but Donald gives him a quick kiss on the cheek.
”We may.” Donald smiles and goes for it. They share a kiss.
”Awww! You kiss him, Uncle Hamilton!" They both turn their has and saw Hamilton niece. Donald and Hamilton had never been so red. Donald and Hamilton's eyes met. They were both silently whether she was okay about their relationship. They both nodded, shared a smile.
In Duckburg, Panchito and Jose were walking down a street. Trying to find Donald. It has been a week and there's no sight of Donald. So far he and Jose had gone through three different small towns. They had checked every hotel, every store, every house, every…ditch, but their search always came up empty. No one had seen their friend.
Would they ever find Donald? Would they even find him alive? What if he was kidnapped? What if he was lost at sea? What if he was hurt? What if…what if…what if…?
No... They shouldn't think something negatives. They must think positive. They have to keep positive, they will find Donald. Yes, they will find him alive. They will continue searching. They will bring him back home. "I think we should go back to the manor and 'as the Americans say' call it a day," mutters the green parrot as they head back to the manor.
As Panchito park Donald old car. They can hear someone yelling inside the manor. It sounds like they are having an argument. But of what? What are they arguing about? Panchito and Jose quickly open a door entrance. They saw Scrooge McDuck and Dewey yelling at each other.
”What is going on here?!?!” Panchito got their attention. Dewey began to speak first. ”Uncle Scrooge want to close a case of Donald disappeared! I am strongly against it! We should not close a case!”
”We have to close a case, Dewey.”
”For what reason?!”
”We don't know if Donald wants to be found. You know what Donald write in his letter. He didn't want to be found. I’m sorry lad. But we have to respect his wish.”
Dewey then ran off outside, crying. Selene decided to go after him and comfort him the very best way she could. But she was stopped by Storkules. ”Friend Selena. But I believe it best to leave young Dewey alone. He needs some space.” Storkules plead her as Selena let out a sigh and she gives Dewey some space.
And so, the case of Donald disappeared have been close. Donald family and friends, and even the public people were very angry and mad at Scrooge decision to call off the search of Donald disappeared. Even Goldie hear a new about Donald disappeared and was mad at Scrooge McDuck calling a case off. But Scrooge McDuck did want to continue the case but he know that he must respect his nephew wish in his letter.

Runaway finale
Five years later after the event of Chapter 21.
"Five years have passed after what most people are now calling the "Runaway Duck Case", while Glomgold Flintheart was sentenced fifteen years in jail for attempted murder and almost kill and poison the nephew of Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck. But the police are still searching and looking for the Magica de Spell for attempted homicide." a DBN news report said.
Donald Duck slowly looked around him, he was in Hamilton parents house, in the living room, he liked the fact it was their house now that they are going to live here in England and Hamilton parents have move into a new home in a same neighborhood about a few weeks ago. And Hamilton is going to retire from the circus.
"Over five weeks since Donald Duck was suddenly went missing and runaway from his home and his family. The last time they saw him before he went missing was that he went to his boathouse in McDuck pool. It was a big search here in Duckburg, Mr. McDuck offer $100,000 reward money for anyone who can bring Donald Duck home safe and sound.”
Donald then stood up from the couch and looked out the window as the sun started to rise over the hills and below the window, he saw a beautiful wonderful garden in the backyard.
“Donald Duck was reportedly suddenly almost got into the car crash accident but thankful, the Goldenwing Wonderland Circus suddenly got off their vehicle and help the Duck out of his car.”

“They immediately began performing a surgery on him which Mr. McDuck got their approval. But they try everything but still no luck. His boyfriends Hamilton Brown, try to kiss him just like Snow White but it didn’t work. But one of Donald Duck nephews, Dewey Duck woke him up with according to Dr. Gearloose, the tear of family love. As result, it was a happy ending, as we all know how the story end. The veil that was sew into his flower crown was a fingertips with nothing on it. He smile at the window and he then look down in his hand. And in his hand was a bouquet of soft blue and ivory. And the bridal shower bouquet are made with quality artificial roses, calla lilies, white roses, daisies, stephanotis, sprig of Myrtles, baby breaths, finished with ivy and gypsophila.
He had waited so long to do this, the day of his marriage to the prince of his dream, Hamilton Brown. And soon, when he exited the chapel. He will be soon be Mr. Brown.
He heard steps coming down from upstairs, he turned around and saw Dewey who was now fifteen years old and his best Man.
Since Donald and Hamilton are going to get married in England, his family and friends must wore a suits and the ladies must wore a day dress with fascinators in England expect his Uncle Scrooge. Dewey was wearing a charcoal dark blue wool twill morning coat and pants, a double-breasted waistcoat, a cotton poplin shirt, a grey silk satin tie and matching pocket square. He was smiling when he saw his uncle all ready and waiting.
"Ready Dewey?" Donald asked.
"I was born ready!” Dewey said as he hugged his uncle who hugged him back.
"We all were, and you're going to finally have a another uncle." Donald said as he placed his hand on Dewey's shoulder.
"I know Uncle Hamilton will be a great uncle and a great husband to you!" Dewey said happily.
A horn went off outside the house.
"That's our ride, let's get going" Dewey said as he smiled and opened the door.
Outside the house was a grey Mercedes car, a Bear Chauffeur waited outside the back of the vehicle along with his Uncle Scrooge. He's wearing a white slim fit non-iron, champagne vest with black buttons, black bow tie, red sash around his waist, a black jacket, a black top hat with a and black foot covers. A Scottish traditional skirt And in his arm was a cane.
"Ah, you must be the nephew of this man, Mr. McDuck, my name is Charles and I will be your chauffeur today, I congratulate you on getting married" Charles spoke with a British accent as he smiled and opened the backdoor.
"Thank you" Donald said as he held onto Scrooge's paw and stepped into the vehicle.
“Alright Donald, time to head to church, you don't want to be late now would you?" Scrooge laugh as Donald playfully smack his back as he smile. They all both got in as Donald sit in the middle, Scrooge on his left and Dewey on his right.
The a grey mercedes car started moving forward and onwards to where the wedding was being held. They drove through the town and the crowd gathered around the streets and waving and shouted at them, wishing them a good luck, it almost like a royal wedding to them. And to them, it like they have their own royal wedding in their town. Donald was waving at the crowds, smiling along with Dewey and Scrooge as they did the same thing. “I'm so glad this is happening. " Donald said to them as he looked out the window as he continued wave at them.
He was so happy, no, he was beyond happy.
He was going to finally marry the love of his life, his Prince Charming he met in the circus. All the times he had been with him, laughed with him, eaten with him, being with him, it made his life worth living. Now he was going to be with him to the rest of his life, and he was glad he was.
The wedding was being held in a St Mary's Church Chesterfield chapel where Hamilton was baptism there when he was a baby.
The grey Mercedes came to a stop in the front of the chapel and Dewey got them their attention.
"Hey, we're here!" Dewey announce as he tap on Donald’s shoulder.
Donald looked out the window and blushed with embarrassment.
"Oh, sorry.” Donald said in an upset tone.
"That's fine, let's get in shall we?" Scrooge said as he opened the door for his nephews, unbuckled his seatbelt and Dewey got out of the grey Mercedes out first on the other side.
They were met by clapping and cheering crowd as they got off. Donald smile and wave at the crowds nervously. He never knew that there are going to be a huge crowds outside waiting for him.
“You must be speechless lad,” Scrooge look at his nephew.
"Yes, I, I'm speechless," Donald said as he smiled.
He continues waving at the crowds, “I didn’t know that there are so many well-wisher to congratulate my marriage.”
"It's your wedding day! It's okay to be speechless Unca Donald!" Dewey said happily as he carefully lift the train as they began walk to the chapel entrance.
"Yeah, you're right, so everything is ready?" Donald asked.
"Yes, of course everything is ready. But, almost.” Scrooge said as he pull out a ribbon of blue from his pocket as he tie it around Donald neck with a tiny bow on the back as Donald wore it as a choker.
"And there! Now everything is ready!" Scrooge said happily as he fixed Donald's bow tie. “I wanted to do the traditional way. You know, something old, something new, something blue and something borrowed.”
Donald laughed happily. Of course he know the traditional.
Something old, Hamilton ancestor wedding dress. The wedding dress was old in the 1860s. The dress he’s wearing is actually 156 years old!
Something new, the bridal veil and the flower crown. he alway wanted to wear it on his wedding day. And now, he is wearing it right now.
Something blue, the choker that Scrooge McDuck put him on his neck.
And something borrow, his twin older sister Della Duck pearls bracket she wore on her wedding day. But now, Donald want to wear it so he know that his sister is with him to witness this wonderful and happy moments.
He looked at Dewey who was smiling and lifting the train. As they began walking forward the chapel and enter it.
"Remember Dewey, you have the most important job, giving me the ring.” Donald said as he ruffled with Dewey's head.
"I know Unca Donald, just give me the ring box and I'll get into my place" Dewey said.
"Ah, I have them right here Dewey, be careful with them now, don't want to lose the rings on your Unca Donald’s wedding day!" Scrooge said as he took one small red ring box underneath the pocket, set him on a white cushion and tie it on the ring so it wouldn’t fall and gave them to Dewey.
"I won't!"
As Dewey walk down the aisle with the ring he carry, Donald and Scrooge stood together outside of these tall well-crafted doors. “You're ready, Donald? Now, it's no turning back anymore lad." Scrooge teased Donald as he took his arm. "I don’t want to turn back for everything in the world. I'm exactly where I always wanted to be." Donald replied with a bright smile and they heard of "Bridal March by Jonathan Cain" played peacefully over the speakers as the pianist played the piano. The door began to open.

He began walking down with Scrooge, Donald didn't notice all the people admiring his dress, whispering to each other how beautiful he looked.

His friends, Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, and Minnie serve as his attendants for the whole gang's and all of them are holding back tears. He only saw Hamilton Brown.

He wore a suit jacket, grey striped trousers, and a crisp white shirt. Beside him on his left was his niece and his maid of honor, Angelica Brown, who was now fourteen years old. She wore a ballerina-length ivory silk satin dress with ballet pumps and a soft blue ribbon with the bow on the back wrap around her waist and a flower crown that matches Donald flower crown. She was holding a small bouquet that was also matched Donald bouquet.

He was waiting for him. Looking at him, like he was the only thing in the world. Like he meant the world. And right at this moment, maybe for the first time ever, he believed he was everything.

As they continue to walk down the aisle Donald looked to his uncle Scrooge who was now beside him, offering an elbow as he wiped a tear of joy from his eye with his other hand.
And maybe we won't feel so alone
The sight nearly brought Donald to tears but he managed to hold them back as he held his uncle's arm and clung tightly.

They both reach the end of the aisle, Donald looked up to see the handsome fox smiling back at him, he look like he’s trying to fight back his tears. Donald then face to Scrooge as he lift the blusher up and gave Donald a caring hug and kiss on his forehead before give Donald hand to Hamilton.
“Take good of him,” he said as Hamilton nodded his head as Scrooge walk back to the front bench and standing there. Donald approached his husband-to-be, trying not to blush or cry.
And if you wait for someone else's hand(and if you wait for someone else’s hand)
“You look amazing,” Hamilton bit his lip as Donald know that he keep trying to fight back his tears. “Thank you, and you look charming.” Donald smile. Donald give his bouquet to Dewey as Dewey smile at his uncle and hold his bouquet.

The officiant came up and bowed to them before asking everyone to take their seats. Many of the guests from the crowd were unable to hold back tears as the two of them took the beautiful ring and place them each other on their finger.

Finally, it was the moment of truth as the officiant took a step towards them and exchanged glances with them. Hamilton looked up again and began to say his vow

“Donald, I could promise to hold you and to cherish you. I can promise to be there in sickness and in health. I could say til death do us part, but I won’t.”

“Those vows are for optimistic couples, the ones full of hope, and I do not stand here on my wedding day optimistic or full of hope.”

Donald giggle as he kiss Hamilton as the officiant hate to disturb them. “We’re not done yet.”
“Hurry up will you,” Hamilton smirk at him as the crowds laugh as little.
“I now pronounce you husbands! You may now kiss the duck.”

Hamilton bent down on Donald level so they can kiss. He was about to kiss his beloved duck husband but Donald grabbed the front of his morning suit and pulled him closer, both visibly smiling into their kiss.
Everyone clapped and cheered as the officiant declared them husbands.
Brother how we must atone
Panchito and Jose watched their buddy Donald kiss his new husband; and they couldn't help but feel a tad bit jealous. They liked Donald, yes. But, now …he wasn't their best friend's anymore. Hamilton was. But nonetheless, they were happy for them. They deserved each other, and they realized that. So they smiled again.

Cheers erupted all around them in the chapel as the church bells began to rings, they all can hear the crowds outside the chapel roar in happiness.
Donald couldn’t believe that his dream of marry a prince of his dream, and that prince of his dream was Hamilton Brown. His dream have finally come true. The darkness above him is finally gone and Donald was now finally able to see the light again. Donald and Hamilton were ready to head towards their bright future, together as a husbands. And of course, you all know how the story end, they all live happily ever after.
