My Dear Son
Mr. Hooks informed me this morning that he would wright to you tomorrow, and expressed a wish that he might be empowered for ease of my Deceive to hold the paper until he had completed the works he is about without such a power these papers might be Demanded of him, and to whom they should be surrended—on this subject my Dear Son do as you think proper, only let it be ___ their might be requests from different parts of My family, let me hear from you and how you all are this very warm weather. Give my love to all with you. Alexander (?) has gone to Utica.
