Just checking || Hamilton&Truth
Everything was calm for the units, maybe too calm for a mission as complex as this one. Truth was excited to be a part of it, especially outside of the Bunker. It was one of her first real mission without Madison, without staying behind a computer. She felt the adrenaline coursing through her body and her heart beat faster in her chest but she still looked calm and composed on the outside. She couldn’t fail, she wouldn’t fail.
Despite how enthusiast she was, Truth couldn’t stop thinking that her brother was in a lot more danger than her down there. She couldn’t think like this, she couldn’t be distracted by her relationship with him nor with anyone else, but she couldn’t focus on what she was doing as long as she didn’t check on him either. She needed to hear his voice, just for one split second.
She switched to a different radio frequency and hesitated a moment. “Brother?” Truth whispered in Russian to her watch once she was on a private frequency. She knew not many people spoke Russian at the agency, and if Hamilton didn’t reply and someone else heard it, it would just sound like a random noise.
